Robward Explosion!

Apparently everyone benefits when I am sick, except me of course. While I was sleeping the 18 hours or so I slept yesterday, new Robward was popping up all over the place.

It started off with the release of the first TV spot, which I was wondering when we were going to see that. I have been in dire need of new Robward while watching all of my fave shows. Kind of like when the Twilight TV spots kept coming on every commercial break not too long ago. To be honest, I never got tired of them. NEVER! And I will never tire of this one either:

Yeah, that look Robward has at the very end…NEVER. GETS. OLD!! Can’t wait to see the other spots they put together and start getting that good little New Moon mix in the television.

Then, cause you know you need a nap when you are sick (regardless of the 18 hours you just slept), I woke up and found a new clip, all Robward versus Volturi.

Um, wow. First off, the Volutri are even more scarier then I imagined. Secondly, hello Robward! Defending his woman, doing some crazy flip move that I’ve watched 10 times and can’t figure out how the stunt man did it, fighting. Yum! (C’mon, you didn’t think that was Rob that did the flip thing, did you? We all now Rob is…well…dainty.) I know, I know. Some people have a real problem with the fighting because it was added. To which I say, it’s a movie adaption of a book. Things must change, cut and added. And the fact that Summit has take the liberty to add a fight scene here increases my hope for another fight scene, possible at the end of Breaking Dawn.

What did the Volturi scene do? It got me in the mood to reread New Moon, which I’ve been meaning to do before the movie comes out anyway. After reading a few chapters, everyone was going crazy on Twitter as there were videos of the break-up scene out there.

Whoa.

I had to put my foot down on that one. I started to watch, then I stopped, realizing that I was about to watch one of the edward-bella-still2most pivotal scenes of the book NOT on the big screen. It felt wrong. It felt like cheating. I didn’t do it. If there are only 2 scenes I do not want to see completely played out before Nov. 20, it’s the entire birthday scene and the break-up scene. That may ruin the movie for me. So I am passing. Then Summit swooped in and made it even easier on me by removing the scenes off of YouTube anyway. Not sure how long my resolve would have held, so this is a good thing!

What a crazy day it was yesterday! Hopefully, next time I feel under the weather, we’ll get a freakin’ Remember Me trailer. Yeah, Summit, I haven’t forgotten. You need to read my letter cause its quite obvious you didn’t!

amber you are a stronger woman than i cos my stupid crazy idiotic fingers went and bloody clicked play on the break up scene then my stupid bloody eyes wouldn’t stop watching it. which resulted in me 1.crying like a loon and 2,being really pee’d off with myself for not waiting

and omfg i love the volturi fight scene i’m so glad they have added something there because i love the book and everything but i always felt when reading it that as they are supposed to be really tough, old school vamps they let bella, edward and alice go too easily, and i too am hoping this means we get a bloody great fight scene in breaking dawn.maybe i just need to take a chill pill though am craving violence too much.lol

and roflmao yep god love rob you just know he didn’t do much of the fighting although try telling that to some people and they have a fit,lol

Oh Amber, I bow down to you. I resolved not to watch the break-up scene either… for about 10 mins. Then I watched it, at work, on my phone so I could have sound. Then I watched it again. And again. And again and again at home. Then I ripped it from YT & put it on my iPod and watched it again.

Did I mention I watched the break-up scene? Cuz I did. A lot.

The only damn thing we haven’t seen is the way they’re going to work the ‘months’ into the movie and some extra stuff with Victoria/Charlie/Harry. Apparently they talked about some of this in the Illustrated Companion, but I’m not reading that until after I see the movie because, hello – SPOILERS.

    • Amber

I have the companion, but I only looked at the pictures. I will not READ it till after the movie. Now I’m rereading New Moon and the wait is killing me EVEN more!

Hey, maybe I missed it. Did you watch the break up scene? I couldn’t tell from your comment. ;)

I’m with you on this. At first, I kept thinking, “Well, if I watch it now, maybe I won’t cry like a baby at the theater.” (Cause I know I will. That’s how I roll). But then I came to my senses. I’m writing a review of this film. And I want those reactions to be genuine. More important, I WANT to see it on the big screen. And for those reasons, I have, so far, not watched anything that hasn’t been officially released. So, I’m trying to resist. But it is soooo tempting …

I’m on a self-inflicted trailer embargo from now until the movie comes out. Seriously, if we string them all together, we’ll have just about seen the entire movie. Who wants that?

While I did break down and watch the Volturi scene, I DID NOT and WILL NOT watch the break-up scene. Nope. Not gonna happen unless someone gets all “Clockwork Orange” on me, and then, just maybe, I’ll relent.

As for the fighting in the Volturi doom-room, don’t even get me started. I could write an entire blog post on what film is supposed to do vs. what books are supposed to do. This film, from what I have seen thus far, SHOULD greatly exceed anyone’s expectations, fighting included.

You are a much stronger woman than I will ever be! After Twilight, I stomp my foot and said the only scenes they better get right in New Moon were the break up scene and the reunion scene. It looks like they nailed them both. I love Chris Weitz!!! I will just tell you this, Rob is awesome in the break up scene! He played it perfect. You will not be disappointed. Bring kleenex!

i am still struggling to resist watching the breakup scene. but i really want all the emotion to be new(a part from reading the breakup scene) when i see it on the big screen.

i thought the tv spots and clips they gave us are more than enough. there are enough clips from the movie out there that you can piece it all together to make the full movie!

i am getting more impatient for new moon with every blog you post! FEEL BETTER!
