Bel Ami… The Little Movie That Could

I’m starting to feel like Bel Ami is like the ‘Little Engine that Could”. It keeps trying to push up that mountain, and we all keep on hoping it will make it. It’s definitely been a crazy ride so far, but as long as we keep getting these little gifts, I will enjoy it.

I’m gonna assume this is a still from early in the movie, since SPOILER ALERT 1) he appears to actually be writing (we all know he quits that later in the book); and, 2) he just looks younger and slightly rougher. More like a man still on the bottom rung then on the top. Either way, Rob continues to look all yummy in this period clothing.

And, a potential bright spot on the site with this image… there is a document on the site that lists a potential release time frame… autumn. Could mean anything. They could even be completely wrong. However, using this marketing background I have, this is how I would do it…

Of course, we all know the first round of Breaking Dawn will be out in November. The end of November to be exact. That means sometime in October, the madness from the Twilight fans will begin to set in. They will do anything to see some part of the movie… even if it’s just a little piece of Rob in the little indie film that could. No, I am not above using Twilight promo to help benefit our little engine that could. It makes good sense. And maybe the Bel Ami people are thing that. Or not. Who knows?

All I know is this, give me Rob sexing it up in a period piece soon, or mama is not gonna be happy. And you don’t want to see mama when she’s not happy.

What do you all think? Can you make it till the end of the year? Or were you kind of hoping for a summer release in order to spread the Rob out through the year?

Oh, and speaking of Twilight, this sweet girl sent me an email about her dissertation where she is surveying fans. So, if you have a spare 5 minutes, help her out and take it!

The Year of the Shagdaddy??!! @theshagdaddy — Guest Post by Stephanie

I’m definitely starting to feel the effects of a Yellow Alert. It’s been a full week, so we can safely move into this level, yeah?

Frequent guest blogger Stephanie sent me this last week, and I had to post it cause anytime someone gets on to my husband other then me, it kind of rules!

So it’s the New Year, and I’m hoping it’s going to be a better year for me because really, last year, not so great. Not horrible I guess, but it definitely could have been better. To cap off my year, my New Year’s Eve did not go as planned to say the least (Christmas tree came crashing down in my living room and then my car decided to break and needed to be towed. REALLY? FML). So I’m hoping that’s not a sign of things to come. But it has me thinking, what are my wishes for this New Year?

Well of course there’s this wish. Why not?

On the Rob front it’s shaping up to be a great year and that is a VERY good thing. I mean come on, we are going to get Water for Elephants. After all the waiting and drooling we’ve done, we are finally gonna get it and I for one am super excited. It will be a little strange though. Up until November we will all be Team Jacob. That’s something I don’t think I’ve ever said before. Weird! Hopefully some time not too long after we recover from the hotness that is Jacob Jankowski we’ll be killed again by Bel Ami and Georges DuRoy *fingers and toes crossed* and this is also a VERY good thing!!! Super smexy time with our man, yes please!! After this I think we will need a great deal of recovery time, not to mention a whole new panty supply before November comes and we get Breaking Dawn Part 1 and are back to team Edward (feathers, broken headboards, bruises, SEX and no fade to black please and thank you). Phew, sounds like an outstanding year to me so far.

So I ask, what could make it better? What could possibly improve this year full of Rob goodness? I can’t think of much, but, oh, maybe this one thing . . . MORE SHAGDADDY POSTS!!! Yup, there, I said it. Amber asked, and I listened. Maybe we need a man’s perspective a little more often in RMW land. I think we do. We can fan girl and he can man crush. The two just naturally go together hand and hand like peanut butter and jelly or me and Rob (he just doesn’t know it yet). Do you see what I’m saying?? And do you all agree??

It’s Time for My Letter to Santa Again

Dear Santa,

Gah. I can’t believe I completely forgot to write you a letter sooner this year. Life’s been hectic, ya know, but it’s still two days before Christmas so I got time.

First off, I have to say, mildly disappointed that last years letter went unanswered. I mean, c’mon. I only wanted one thing. It’s okay. Maybe it’s for the best. I got plenty of other cool Twilight goodies instead.

But this year is a new year. So, all is forgiven, and I’ve been especially good so I’ll make my requests this year slightly more realistic. Slightly.

1. The FULL video of Rob’s performance from Songs from a Room. In 1080p HD blue-ray awesomeness. And can we get a commentary with that as well? Yep, cause this minute of music heaven just isn’t enough for me…

2. A plane ticket to LA for the week of April 15 (Note: I write this blog the day before I post, so at the time it was still April 15. And since it’s not confirmed that it’s moved, I’m just gonna leave it.), and you know, maybe a ticket to a little premiere that’s happening sometime around then. Water for Elephants ring a bell for you? Actually, can you make that 2 tickets? TheShagDaddy has to come along since that is our anniversary week and all that. Plus, even he wants to see this shiz. Who doesn’t? Have you seen the trailer?

3. A release date for Bel Ami. I don’t need tickets or anything else. I just need to know that the movie will be released some time in the near future in the U.S. I promise I won’t tell anyone else. You can just write it on a piece of paper, wrap it up and put it under a tree. It would be preferable if you’d write the date on the back of a still of Rob making sexy times on the set.

See Santa? I am soooo much more realistic this year. What was I thinking last year? But this year, I think I knocked it out of the park with this list.

I’m Looking for Water for Elephants, I Get Bel Ami… Eh, Not a Bad Trade

So, I waited. And I wished. And then I realized… the Water for Elephants trailer ain’t coming. ::sigh:: I guess Francis Lawrence has adopted the same philosophy as me when it comes to the statement “very soon.” Which stinks. My only hope at this point is he knows it’s out there so he’ll try and hurry it up.

But I will say, if I had to trade off the trailer for something else Rob-related, I think Bel Ami stills wasn’t too bad of a deal. I mean, it’s not a trailer, but at least it’s something. And a hot something at that. And something is always better than nothing!

Ooooo... dirt.

Oh book readers, we know this scene! But in fairness to those who haven’t read it, I won’t spill the beans. But the leather gloves. Damn. I did not anticipate leather gloves. I wonder if they are Isotoner. Hmmmm…

The hair and the burns are a little bit weird if I’m being totally honest. There. I said it. But you know what? For the hot sexy times and the suits and the arrogant asshole-ness we’ll see in the movie, I’ll be able to deal with the creepy hair.

And then, while this still is Robless, we do get a good look at all the ladies…

And I’ve finally come to grips with the fact that it will probably be mid-2011 before we get this movie. Which makes me ridiculously sad panda. How will we get through this? By revisiting the other stills as well…

Bel Ami… What is the deal? Why am I being teased? Someone give me something!

Gah. I hate teases. Do not tease me. And this dude, well, he is just a big ol’ tease:

Making out, sexing, Rob… all in approximately 3-5 minutes of promo footage? Oh my! I don’t think the run time has been released, but my best guess is 90 – 120 minutes of pure hotness!

How am I supposed to think of anything else now? All I can picture is naked Rob. This is not fair.

The worst part? We don’t even know if any of what ol’ Steve has seen here will be released anytime soon. The video is out there, just looming around and not being seen by people that matter. Like me. Oh, and you guys too.

So, how are we to survive? Off these couple of stills??

I mean, yeah, they are hot. But I need a trailer. Like, oh, yesterday. I’m just saying, that would be an EXCELLENT way to throughly end the Rob drought. I’ll even settle for the promo footage. Surely there has gotta be some Hollywood big wig who won’t mind leaking that out for us. I mean, job, schmob, right?

I guess I’ll just continue to settle for this fanmade trailer.

Fanmade Trailers and the Regular Rob Video Goodness… Lots to Watch for You!

This week’s videos are kind of divided up. Of course, I have the best Rob videos I could find for the week, but I also have what are pretty much the first fanmade trailers for Bel Ami and Water for Elephants. So you have lots to watch today and for the rest of the weekend! Enjoy it ladies (and gentlemen?)!

First off…. YAY FOR FAN MADE TRAILERS! Yes, that was all in caps because I really did just yell it out loud. This is sort of the best part of the in between after shooting before the trailer comes out. We get to see everyone else’s interpretation of what the movie will be. Plus, it just makes me more excited for the movies!

I had to share these first and foremost, just because not only are the good, but I’m hoping they will spur video makers on to make even more!!

Bel Ami Trailer

SweetDKvampires has put together a really good little piece here! Rob’s previous sex scenes are very limited (to one really), so the filler around it was really well done. Seriously can not wait to see what the real deal looks like, but until then, this one definitely fills the void.

And kudos to OhLogan for knocking outta the park for this one! The circus clips and using Hal, who will actually play the older version of Jacob, is just awesome.

Robert Pattinson – Ring my bells

This one from Tanitataniru is very much an NSFW video (Not Safe For Work, for those not hip to my jive lingo). Does it make you want to watch it even more now that I’ve said that? I mean, just after typing that I’m thinking I should watch it again. I will say, I think I saw a couple manips in there. Normally, I don’t post vids with manips, but they were so fast and hard to see that I didn’t let it ruin what is otherwise a really hot video!

This one is safe for work, if you are able to handle being completely turned on while sitting at your desk. Okay, maybe not safe if you share a cubicle or something. All I know is, after the teaser last week, I am so freakin’ stoked that Lostimortal2 finished this video! This one is, wow, it is majorly hot. Quit reading. Start watching.

So the song lyrics may be a bit extreme, but the quality of this vid from LuCiiJB is really nice! I love all the eyes towards the end, even the ones with the bushy brows. Plus, the effect she used it pretty cool. Very dreamlike.

Rob for Christmas? We Can Only Hope…

What is the best Christmas present ever? Yeah, I know. You won’t wake up magically that morning and see Rob sleeping next to you. Sorry.

But maybe a movie where you can easily visualize Rob being in bed with you?

Protagonist Pictures says Bel Ami is gonna be set to deliver in December 2010. What? You mean I will get one more Rob movie this year?! That’s three, THREE for the year! With the only one that will (most likely) come with an R rating coming (heh) around Christmas. Merry Christmas to me (and you, too)!

Yes, Rob will be playing an asshole. Yes, his character will use women. Yes, I will ultimately hate the main character of this movie. But hot damn if he won’t look good doing it!

Yeah, who wouldn't want a piece of that.

Listen, if Bel Ami does not get a release here, I will take my Robward cutout and reenact TheShagDaddy’s date with him. ‘Kay?

Rob on Leno is PURE WIN! But are you that surprised?

What? I bring my "A" game every day.

It is clear that Rob brought his “A” game out on Jay Leno yesterday. It’s like he knows what drives us crazy and just decided to combine all of them into one interview so I would spontaneously combust while sitting here on my couch. I mean, geez we talk about all of these things all the time. Confirmation that he reads our blogs?

If so, well then, touche Rob. You got us back good. You should keep getting us back. It kind of rocks.

I mean, c’mon. First off, you show up in that suit. And you owned that suit, no doubt.

Oh this old thing?

I’m hoping while getting dressed in the fuck hawt suit that you were warmed by the fire that was fueled by the burning of the yellow shirt that made what I hope was it’s first and last appearance in the Eclipse press junket. Seriously, does it not remind of the Jack & the Box?

And then, seriously, those moments with your dad? Wow. First off, I love you even more for what is obviously a close relationship with your dad? Secondly, I think I may be partially in love with your dad. Not in that way, but I could see where he could be a cool father-in-law. Yeah, I said it.

The emails were just too priceless, and I love the fact that you embarassed him on national television. But hey, anything to see you do this again?

Rob's dad taught him a new hand gesture. Much nicer then my fave hand gesture...

Quotes of the night? Well, there were 2 in my book. When talking about nude scenes and the uncomfortable-ness during Bel Ami filming: “Hey! I’m sitting here naked. I want some respect.” Best quote in response to said Rob quote came from greenleafgirl: “I’ll respect you Rob. Now get naked. I’ll respect you nice and slow.”

And the 2nd best came after the interview, when Jay asked Emma Roberts if she was Team Edward or Team Jacob and she looked Rob in the eyes and said Team Jacob. While the audience was picking there mouths off the floor, Rob came back with this little gem, “You have just revealed yourself to have absolutely no taste.”

Wait, what did she say?!?

WIN! Take that Emma, some chick I really have no idea who she is but apparently is important enough to be on Jay Leno.

Wait, you must be tired of just reading about all the awesomeness. How about reliving all of it?!?

Concentrating on What’s MOST Important Here

WTF? I like to keep a drama free life style, which includes this here drama free blog. I don’t talk about a lot of things, even when I have opinions, just cause I know it brings out the drama. And me no likey the drama!

So, I’m not going to be all pissy that Summit keeps yanking our chains on where the hell the Eclipse premiere is and being all secretive about something that they know fans are trying to make travel plans for. I’m not going to really go into the fans views from the peeps that saw today’s screening of Eclipse that will 1) not be the same as what we see in June and b) is coming from quite possibly the most bias audience out there. (It’s like me trying to be non-bias about a Rob movie. It ain’t happening.)

Nope, I’m going to concentrate on the most important thing that happened yesterday. The thing that happened so early on that all the drama buried it. The one thing that can bring us all together in one happy harmonious moment.

Taking Notes from the Hungarian Fans!

I don’t think any of us have given proper props to the Rob fans out in Hungary. As you all know, Rob recently wrapped up filming on Bel Ami and it was a pretty well attended shoot by the fans. The number of videos and photos we got may not have been quite to the extent of the ones from Remember Me, but there was still quite a bit. Enough where even I quit looking after awhile.

But the most amazing part of all of this was how great the videos were. No screaming. No fangirls completely losing their shit. Almost like a revered awe for Rob, which is an amazing feat. Hell, I can’t even guarantee I won’t squee a bit the first time I see the Rob in person (June baby, June!).

Listen hard on this one. They are actually shushing the girls getting a wee bit loud! And when he waves, they applaud him, not scream at him.

And look, more respectful clapping!

Amazing. For those who think it can’t be done, this proves it can. We can be fangirls, and we can get excited and express that excitement, but why scream? Clapping, even some quieter squeeing works much better.  Then if Rob does choose to say something, you might be able to hear him.

Like this! When you are good, you get rewards! Big ones!!

P.S. The fans finally lose it after the Hungarian, so best to go ahead and turn the video off at that point. And who can blame them, really! :)

So let’s seriously take a moment to give these fans some kudos. And inspire to be more like them. Maybe starting with the Eclipse premiere. I’d love to be able to leave the ear plugs at home. For serious!

P.P.S. I really hope I can walk the walk with this, but I’m totally afraid I’m going to lose my shit when I see Rob. So the night before and on the plane ride there, I’m going to just keep watching these videos and thinking of these fans and how if they can do it, we all can!
