Since I live in the middle of nowhere where cool indy films don’t make appearances and I chose to have DirecTV versus cable so I don’t have IFC On Demand, it really did take me this long to sit down and watch How to Be.
The movie is freakin’ hilarious, but you know what I like best about it? (Hint: It’s not Rob. I know, shocker. Please refrain from throwing an copies of Twilight at me, thanks!) It’s his friends, Ronny and Nicki, that really steal the show. Not Rob’s fault, his character is so depressed that he just doesn’t make me laugh as much as the other guys!
Anyway, I think it’s a fun watch, and if you enjoy a nerdy Rob (which I just so happen to!), then you’ll like it! Now, if they can just figure out when they want to release this on DVD in the U.S., then I would be a happy camper!
For those of you who haven’t seen it (or maybe those that have but want to revisit it), here is video of all the best moments of the movie, courtesy of Camerashy88. Enjoy!
A couple months ago, when I started this blog, and never thought ANYONE would read it or give a crap what I had to say. Now that I have a following, I realized that they may have missed some of my really good posts from the beginning.
This Saturday, let’s take a journey down memory lane and go back in time and see some of my favorite posts!
Oh Rob, there you are, living the dream…and you can’t get your damn mind off of Hot Pockets.
But c’mon Rob, if you are going to have an inner monlogue we can all hear (ala Edward style), you should think of more important things. Like me, naked, surrounded by Hot Pockets…I mean, er, um, about how wonderful all of the movies are and what an honor it is to be there!
Hmmm...those pants are fitting a little too snuggly...and I like it!
I could not understand why Stephanie (aka FakerStephanieR) would be concerned that you may need to pay for your tux, but after seeing this picture, I can understand. Looks like SOMEONE decided to go commando in the rental…and, um, wow!
Steph, no worries, this is an opportunity for you to make that money back plus. How you ask?
I will buy those pants off you right now…just name your price. But, seriously, if you washed them, the offer is rescinded. And if Rob sweat in the them ever so slightly, I will double my offer. Mmmmmmm…(I know, I’m disgusting!)
See easy money!
Want to really bank? If you send the pants with Rob STILL WEARING THEM (commando, of course), well, I will give you my first born. Seriously, and you don’t even have to wait because he is sitting here right next to me!
It’s just good to see that big feet really do equal a big you-know-what!
Today (and by today, I mean yesterday because I write these all a day before they post!), lucky cable subscribers everywhere now have the option to watch How to Be on IFC Festival Direct.
Too bad that the cable company here is the devil and I have Directv, which will NOT be airing How to Be on any channels (trust me, I check everyday). Since I know I am not the only one, sitting here being sad because I can’t watch a-dork-able Rob, I decided to dedicate today’s to the movie and try and help us all pass the time until we can get our hands on a copy of this movie.
First, some pics…
Replace Art's parents with me and, well, clone of me, and we'll have some fun!
I've already given my thoughts on this one... (One of my first posts, but funny so check it!)
So a-dork-able! How I love this side of Rob!
Rob at the Austin Premiere. Unfortunantly, he's probably answering some lame Twilight question right here.
And now, some How to Be videos…right after the jump!
Not only do we get 3 new songs from Rob, it’s a 23 track collection (so you actually feel like you’ll get your monies worth), PLUS you’ll get a 12-page booklet featuring song lyrics, new How To Be photos and one of two randomly selected fold-out posters of Robert Pattinson and the cast. And 250 fans will have their booklet poster signed by Rob!!
Firstly we’d like to say a big sorry you everyone that the change to the pre-order date was such a pain.
It’s because of the amount of interest from folks like you that we realised there was going to be a lot more demand for the Soundtrack than we initially thought. This meant in order to make sure we could meet demand and exceed everyone’s expectations, that a lot more work had to go into various areas.
There has been no update on the date to make sure this didn’t happen again. I can confirm though that big news is literally days, if not hours away. So do keep up do date with our facebook page or look out for the Dreamboat and How To Be emails that will be coming to everyone who’s signed up.
Take Care

So, I’m officially removing Dreamboat Records from my list, because frankly, they now ROCK!! (And, you’ll rock even more if you put that Rob signed booklet in my hand, justsayin.) Just leave a comment and I’ll be happy to forward my name to you to ensure I’m part of that 250!
This scene looks so interesting...too bad I have no idea what is going on!
First off, I want to say that I am so excited that How to Be is doing so well. That it great news for my boy Rob’s career (that’s right, I said MY BOY). And I’m sure its a great movie. Really sure!
UNFORTUNATELY, I may never (and by never, I mean until it comes out on DVD) know because the film will not be shown anywhere near me! I’ve already been denied the soundtrack for an undetermined amount of time (thanks Dreamboat Records), and now I’m being denied the full movie.
Well, if you haven’t seen it yet, here is the latest US schedule. Maybe you will be lucky and have a showing near you, or maybe you will be angry and disgruntled, like me.
