Let's go out on a high note... ohaithere black v!

So, I have made a life decision. After 2 years of RMW, I have decided that it is time for me to move on. Effective, well, now, I will no longer be blogging on Rob My World. I will leave the site up for a bit, but once my domain name needs renewal, I will not renew and will shut it all down then.

Please don’t be sad about this. It’s not about Rob. I still <3 Rob bunches. Maybe not as crazily obsessive as I did 2 years ago, but I am def going to continue supporting his career and loving him and his adorkable ways.

Which leaves you all asking the question… why?

My life is taking me on a new path where I need this extra time that right now I spend taking care of RMW. I am applying for some new jobs that are much more time consuming (if I get them), I am working on a design business on the side that is really taking off and my family is becoming more demanding of my time.

Plus, I kinda just want to be a regular fan. I don’t want to know where Rob is on a daily basis or to see every pic (okay, I’m lying there). But there are rarely surprises when it comes to Rob for me anymore, and that makes me sad. And I’d be lying if I didn’t say all the drama in the fandom bugs. That’s not my reason for stopping the blog, but it is a lot of the reason that I want to achieve this “regular fan” status.

If you wanna stay friends (and I hope you will!) I will still be on Twitter and we can all chat there. I may change my name in the coming month, but I’m not sure to what so I’m going to wait on that. I also have my other two blogs: Shack of Soul and, my sort of personal, I Blame People.

I really hope you all understand. This was a difficult decision to make based on the fact that while I really do love my little blog, the hours I put into it are ridic. I think this is the right decision for me, my family and my overall personal life.

Remember Rob… it’s not you. It’s me.

I swear, the interviews are the best part of promo time. I love his little “spoilers” and comments about being professional during the sex scenes. Like he didn’t intend to be professional, which with the way Resse was talking, she may not have minded too much. But I mean, really, can we blame her?

And what was on the tv was just a wee bit different….

While I like the interviews from the first vid better, this one wins for showing Rob dancing. I knew it was coming, but I still may or may not have squeed a bit when I saw him actually dancing. I guess cause I mainly pictured it slower, while this was a bit of a faster pace, which I find more exciting. Plus, since I really did enjoy the book, it is so amazing to see things like the parade come to life.

This is just the beginning ladies. Just the beginning… welcome to WFE promo! Here is hoping for more sooner rather then later!

P.S. Go to the Water for Elephants Film fan site right now. They have a TON of screencaps and gifs that will make you happy. Trust.

But I do know this. Rob did get us all something for this special day… NEW outtakes! YAY! I knew he wouldn’t forget. Enjoy, and have a great day!

I miss this.

These are the days when having a daily blog is really tough. Can I be honest? I’m thinking about cutting this down and blogging a bit less. I just hate feeling like I am forcing the funny. I was thinking of going to a 3-5 post a week schedule. I’d still do video Fridays, and of course if there is enough stuff to blog every day, I’ll do it! Like WFE promo should give lots of goodies for me.

I know this is probs not news you want to hear, but I think it will be a good thing.

What can you do? Well, rather then visit the blog constantly to see if it updated, go up to the top of the page and sign up for the email subscription. Then, whenever I update, you’ll get an email. No worries about missing anything!

I really do love you guys, and this blog, and I hope you’ll stick with me during this decision. Trust me. It will be better for all. I promise!

Water for Elephants premiere in NYC on April 17

This is the one thing that made me sad. I had heard a rumor awhile back that the premiere would be in New York and Hibbits confirmed it. Yay! I’d never been to New York City, the plane tickets were a bit cheaper, it was all looking like me and TheShagDaddy might be flying out to be there. But then I noticed the date, which is April 17. AND, I can’t be there. Stupid work and real life will keep me at home that night, which makes me super sad. I was already jones-ing to see Rob in person again sans Twilight fans. Oh well. Maybe some of you can go, and take pictures, and report back. Let us know if you are going in the comments, but hey, don’t rub it in too much.

Why hello Robowski feature!

Let me go ahead and say it… best movie poster featuring Rob EVER! I love how all the posters tell little stories, this one being totally different then the first. Plus, damn if that boy ain’t pretty in this. The suspenders slay me.

The more that comes out about this movie, the more excited I am.It’s good source material and it’s a high quality movie. And we finally get to see Rob as a man, which I think we all needed. Is it April yet?

Rob in Vanity Fair again?!?

Maybe. I’d post the tweet where the guy said Rob had just finished a shoot for Vanity Fair, but alas, the tweet was deleted. Which means one thing… someone talked when he wasn’t supposed to. Amazing how often that happens on Twitter. But let’s go ahead and dream of the last Vanity Fair shoot, which gave us about a bazillion new, super hot pictures and HOPE that is what we see looks something close to this…

It’s not a crazy thought that this may be happening. With Water for Elephants and Breaking Dawn coming soon, now is the time for promotional photoshoots and interviews. Which reminds me… it’s really almost promo time for Water for Elephants. EEP! I may be more excited for all the new foder for the blogging fire. Woo hoo!!

Robward Playing Some Tunes in Breaking Dawn

Now, I almost didn’t post this cause I think everyone is getting their hopes up for something else. What was said is Rob will be shown playing the piano in Breaking Dawn, but a lot of people are taking it totally different. Like “Rob will be on the soundtrack” different. Now, could Rob show up on the soundtrack? I’m sure he could, but as of right now, he’s just playing a piano in a movie. Sort of. I mean, you’ll see him playing, but the score version will still be heard. So really, all we are getting is seeing Rob playing the piano in the movie.

Is that about as clear as mud? So please everyone, chillax. And keep your hopes on the soundtrack low, that way if it happens we can all be surprised together!

What a weekend, but seriously Rob, can you do this stuff during the week? Cause you know, this catching up shizz is hard. Please and thank you!

We are back to Eric. If you remember, he just shot his bodyguard Torval. So of course I get a bit nervous when he decides he wants to have a good look at his driver. The ironic limo drive with a bad eye, which of course Eric loves. And luckily for everyone, Eric just gets in the limo. Phew.

Finally we arrive at the neighborhood where the barbershop is, and then we begin to understand why this barbershop. It’s in a relatively poor neighborhood, but it’s the neighborhood that Eric’s father grew up in. He made a comment about wanting to feel what his father felt while standing in there.

Of course, since it’s pretty late in the night at this point, the barbershop is closed. But the light was on, and Eric knocked and was allowed inside. Clearly, he and the barber have an ongoing relationship when it comes to Eric’s hair. The barber seems to be an almost family type of figure. He speaks fondly of Eric’s father, and how Eric’s father died.

They have dinner, where Eric invites in the limo driver who turns out to have cab driving in common with Anthony the barber. They talk and talk and Eric starts to snooze (as do I) and then he looks and finally sees himself in the mirror.

Finally, FINALLY, we get to the hair cut. Anthony continues to talk fondly of Eric’s father and his past while Eric continues to do that half dozing thing people sometimes do when they are getting their hair cut. And then he starts to spill about his threat, trusting the men and feeling like he was in his safe place.

And then he tells them he basically has no protection. His chief of security is gone, the gun is gone and they are in a crappy part of town. The driver and Anthony are both worried. Anthony pulls out an old gun and insisted Eric take it. But once again, all Eric wanted and had left was the haircut.

Take those clothes off...

And I’ll be damned if halfway through the cut, Eric got up and left with his driver and the gun. And of course, cause something else totally random needed to happen, they drove up on a movie set with 300 people lying naked in a street. So what does Eric do? Just what I was hoping for… he get’s naked and joins them. Yes, that is happening. And guess who he finds lying naked next to him? His wife. Of course. It was about time for her to reappear again.

And, after the shoot, they finally go in the alley naked and do it. And he tells her he lost all her money. She doesn’t care. They just do it up against a wall in a dirty alley. And he has the revelation… he loves her. So of course, Elise takes off. Cause that’s what she does.

Eric rides with the driver to where the limo is stored and then finds himself being shot at. He enters the building the shots are from and we all realize pretty quick that this is Benno’s building. He gets up to the door where Benito is hiding and has the amazingly long monologue, which boils down to how “movie like” the moment is, with Eric holding the gun about to kick in the door. But it’s interesting cause it’s also alot of trying to figure out who Nancy Babich is.

And then he kicks in the door and starts shooting. But turns out Benno was hiding in the bathroom (which is really a port-a-potty in the middle of the room). Eric is trying to figure out who this guy is, and why he wants to kill him. Finally Eric remembers seeing Benno in the street.

Of course, these two don’t just start a shoot out. They have to talk and get all philosophical. I get kind of bored, till Eric shoots his hand. That was a bit of shock. And at that moment, everything changes. Benno cares for his hand, and they realize they both have an asymmetrical prostate. They are more alike then they realize.

But Benno still wants to kill him. He has to. So then we have this moment with Eric, where he thinks about his life and how he is dead, what his funeral will look like, what his lovers will do, how he will be buried and if I read it correctly, it seems like he decides he wants that, not starting his life over as broke as he would have to to survive.  His need to be is what is missing. And he sits and waits to be shot but Richard Sheets aka Benno.

And that is it. Does he die? One would assume so, but it is never shown. So my best guess is that is how the movie will end. With Eric pretty much staring down a barrel and waiting. It’s just… odd. I like conclusions. I got none.

Overall, I’m glad Rob has chosen to do this movie, but not so much for the source material. He chose this movie because Cronenberg called, which was the right move. But to be honest, this is a movie I would never see without Rob in it. I am hoping to be happily blown away by it, but if not, that’s okay.

Awwww, this video from StavrinaCrazyStyle is so sweet too, and a little hazy. Kinda has that dream like quality to it. It’s definitely short and sweet, heavy on the sweet.

Sorry. I’ve digressed.

I kind of sort of half paid attention to the premiere of Waiting for Forever, and by half, I mean I just wanted to see if Rob would show, which I didn’t think would happen (and it didn’t). But everyone starting talking about his sweater Tom was wearing, and I was intrigued. This is what I saw…

And since I am totally normal and have Rob’s ENTIRE wardrobe memorized, that sweater stuck out like a sore thumb. It’s time to decide… who wore it best?! (Don’t let the slightly off colors fool you. Different cameras, different lighting does that. Concentrate on the pattern.)

My vote… neither. That sweater needs to be burned. Plus, I’m pretty sure it’s older then my son. This picture of Rob is from Harry Potter days, y’all. I’m all for being thrifty and frugal and all that business, but c’mon. A hobo somewhere is really cold and is thinking that is a really nice sweater.

But, what do we expect from these guys? It’s not the first Rob and his friends have shared clothing. We all remember Teen Choice Awards 2009, right? When Rob rolled up in none other then Marcus’ shirt.

CLEARLY, these guys are still living the bachelor life hard core, which I can appreciate. You are young, you got a couple dollars in your pocket, live it up! But c’mon now. You know we see you. We know what you are doing. Quit swapping all the thrift clothes around, or at least if you are swapping, try to keep those clothes away from red carpets. And cameras. And people.

Well, now she’s using her D-list status and getting to be the correspondent for Access Hollywood on the Breaking Dawn red carpet. Although I will say, she is kind of adorable when she finds out.

Yes, yes. We all want Rob to sit on our laps. But maybe Rob should be a bit careful with this one. I mean, she has been prone to do some “kind touching.”

What is “kind touching” you ask? Well, you clearly need to clear your schedule and take 15 minutes to read this post. Only then will you truly understand the term “kind touching.” Plus, I mean, the post is hilarious. You will belly laugh. I did.

So, srsly Rob, when JLH comes up to you and says “hey, you wanna come sit in my lap?” you will be tempted. I mean, she is pretty and her boobs will most likey be in yo face, but resist. Of course, unless you want a little “kind touching” from her, then by all means, go ahead. I mean, who am I to judge.

Okay, confession time: I really just wanted to post this video so I could link you to that post about “kind touching.” My BFF LiLi pointed it out to me, and let’s be honest, I’ve been looking for a good way to share it with you all.
