I miss this.

These are the days when having a daily blog is really tough. Can I be honest? I’m thinking about cutting this down and blogging a bit less. I just hate feeling like I am forcing the funny. I was thinking of going to a 3-5 post a week schedule. I’d still do video Fridays, and of course if there is enough stuff to blog every day, I’ll do it! Like WFE promo should give lots of goodies for me.

I know this is probs not news you want to hear, but I think it will be a good thing.

What can you do? Well, rather then visit the blog constantly to see if it updated, go up to the top of the page and sign up for the email subscription. Then, whenever I update, you’ll get an email. No worries about missing anything!

I really do love you guys, and this blog, and I hope you’ll stick with me during this decision. Trust me. It will be better for all. I promise!

Robert Pattinson Life shut it down yesterday. This is a huge loss. So many of us got all of our major Rob news from the ladies that ran this show. But now it is no more.

I don’t really want to make any conclusions on anything. Basically, everything you need to know about what happened is in that link above. But I do want to get on my soap box for just a minute here…

Being part of a fandom is supposed to be fun. If it starts not being fun anymore, then it’s probably time to go. We all joke about how “Rob is life” but we all know at the end of the day, Rob is not life. We have plenty of other things we should be worried about, and for the most part, we are all there.

Eighty percent of our fandom is cool. We get it. We have fun and enjoy each other’s company. We love Rob in safe and normal ways. However, that other 20% is ruining it for us, and I hope some how, some way, it stops.

There, that is the end of my soapbox. I needed to get that off my chest in a bad way. And since I bored you with my opinion and all, I wanted to post something to cheer you up and get you through the day! Or at least cheer me up. The fandom has me down today. I was gonna post some hot pictures, but then I decided to go one step further.

But I do have some good news on one of my Rob Resolutions… the one to get TheShagDaddy to blog more (so I can have a day off, you know!). Turns out, he wasn’t hard to convince. In fact, he was pretty much a push over and promised to devote one day a week to the blog.

Okay, as you may have read the other day on Amber’s New Year’s Resolution blog she wants me to blog more often this year. I have decided to help Amber keep at least one resolution by just offering to do blog duty once a week. Of course, there is always the off chance that I will do more than one a week but most likely not. The point of this blog is to get ideas from all the readers of Rob My World of what they would like me, theshagdaddy, to write about. All the ideas just need to be Rob related in some form or another and nothing is off limits. I’m even thinking of doing a contest or two, so ideas for that would be greatly appreciated as well. You can submit your fantastical ideas by leaving a comment on this blog, tweeting me @theshagdaddy on Twitter, or by e-mailing me at theshagdaddy@hotmail.com. So, I guess this is less of a blog and more a call for ideas from TheShagDaddy. I mean, I’m all kinds of effed up right now with the crazy holidays, the lack of Robbie news and way too much family time that I need to get back in the swing of this mess.

First off, I didn’t even know I was playing a game of tag. If I did maybe I would have had a chance of running and beating my tagger. (But probably not. Remember, sloooooowww feet.)

Okay, you get it. I’m slow. Anyway, what the hell is this all about?

The fine ladies over at Twitarded decided it was time all us Twilight bloggers got to know a little more about one another (which is cool cause we are so tight knit as it is!).  They started this thing called a Meme (it means an idea spread from blog to blog) & I got tagged by My TwiLife!

Cool. Now what do I do? I answer just 7 little questions so all of you can learn a little more about the woman behind Rob My World. Trust me. You’ll love learning more about me. I’m pretty cool.

1) What is the craziest/most stupid thing you’ve ever done (that you would be willing to share!)

Easy. Blow probably close to $500 on Twicon. Definitely stupid. But I did make some friends that will last forever. I had the opportunity to almost bust Sam Bradley in the face with a bathroom door, throw my camera and nearly hit Marcus Foster, have Bobby Long deface one of my blog “business cards,”  and word vomit on Peter Facinelli and quite possibly on Kellan Lutz as well. So maybe that $500 was worth it. Mmmm… nope, it was still stupid money wasted!

2) One my personal favorite games: Fuck, Marry, Kill. With the Twilight cast. I can’t wait to read these! (Or “Eff, Marry, Kill” if you don’t have my potty mouth.)**

This one is easy peasy!

Hmmm... I got a naughty idea for that scarf. You game?

MARRY: I’m still totes in love with Edward! Plus the idea that we can pretty much do it forever. (Cause in this fantasy Amber is a vamp, too!) What? I just said what you were all thinking…

KILL: I’d kill that bitch Jane. She just gets on my damn nerves with her smug little “my vampire skills are better then your vampire skills” attitude.

3) What is your favorite band/type of music?

I hate being asked what my fave band or type of music is, cause the flavor varies day to day. Of course, you all know I have some mad love for the Brit boys (duh, Shack of Soul, hello?), but I also have much love for lots of other music. I love indie music, and feeling like I am listening at the beginning of a career. Lately, I feel  like that is all I have been listening to.

4) What is your favorite movie besides Twilight?

Before I answer, is it bad that Twilight isn’t even my favorite movie? Good, I hope not. All time fave movie: The Princess Bride. Hells yeah! “My name is Indigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.” Seriously, it is just a classic in my mind and always will be!

What do you mean they don't know about us?

5) Do you RL life family/friends know you’re addicted to Twilight? A blogger?

I kinda laid part of this out a week or so ago. When it comes to Rob, no. They have no idea that I am completely infatuated with an actor and his amazing jaw, legs, fingers and every other aspect of him that is borderline pornographic. The Twilight thing? They may be a bit on to me. My family knows I went to Twicon, so they know it’s a bit more then just “wow, those are some cool books.” As far as the blogging, hell to the no! Now, I’m not super fantastic at hiding it, but if they do know then they haven’t told me yet. I can imagine that they would read a couple of posts, be shocked, then never come back to my blog again. (Or at least that is what I hope would happen.)

6) How many hours a week do you spend doing Twi related things? You know, blogging, looking at pictures of the cast, reading fan fiction, etc.

Uh, wow. Um, I don’t keep track and there is a very good reason. Let me explain… I run 2 blogs, read a ton of fan fiction and Twitter almost non-stop. So pretty much every waking hour is spent in some form of Twilight, Rob, Brit Boy and/or fan fiction stuper. Yes, this is my life now. Would I change it? Nope, not even a little bit!

7) Any random fact you might want to share. Big or small, it doesn’t matter.

Oh, I’ll do you better! I’ll share 10 random fun facts about me right now.

1. I don’t do ladders. Not even a little bit.

2. I do believe in ghosts (but not vampires!). And I’ve had several experiences to confirm that belief.

3. I am not ready for the zombie take over.

4. I used to run cross country. So I may be slow, but I can run forever.

5. I hate my toes. Specifically the big ones. It’s like they need their own separate sock.

6. I pretty much love myself. And I am an attention whore. But trust me when I say it runs in the family.

7. While I love Rob, the 2nd love of my life right now may just be Adrian Peterson. What can I say? I have a soft spot for athletes.

8. I can’t drive. While I will enter the contest to win the Edward “soccer mom” Volvo, it will most likely be too big for me to drive. At least it will be if other people want to live.

9. My new goal in life is to be a MILF when my son is a teenager. (And hope he has “TayTay-esque” friends!)

10. When I was a kid, I wanted to be a fireman. Not a firefighter, a fire MAN.

Yep, so I hope enjoyed this mini diversion from all the Rob lovin’ that normally takes place. This was actually kind of fun for me, so I hope it was for you too.

Amber: okay, we are supposed to talk about how I got you into twilight

Amber: this is for t5m, who EyesofAmber writes for.

Amber: So, i think we should start at the beginning, when I started reading the books and being annoying

TheShagDaddy: how you got me into twilight? i started reading it to mess with you

Amber: but you used to hate all things Twilight for a bit there

TheShagDaddy: didn’t hate it, just didn’t want to listen to all things related to twilight

Amber: till we watched the movie, right?

TheShagDaddy: yeah but if it didn’t have that dark feeling to it, i may not have watched it all. it started out with a tim burton vibe and that kept my interest

Amber: the blue color, right? you are the only one that liked that, I think!

TheShagDaddy: exactly, the blue did it. with new moon being orange i kind of look at like blue=cold=edward and orange=hot=jacob

TheShagDaddy: i also think i was the only one who like kstew too

Amber: i think that is the point, since it’s all about building up the werewolves

Amber: and you were. my girl crush took awhile to come around.

TheShagDaddy: well yeah, but do you think all people are going think the same about the color tone of the movies?

TheShagDaddy: and don’t get me wrong, the blinking was bad at first but the angst burst out and took over

Amber: hey, I’ve slept a lot of nights and drooled over a lot of Rob pics since then. My mind may be going.

Amber: but then, once you were done messing with me, why did you KEEP reading them?

TheShagDaddy: that’s because i love twilight while YOU love rob

Amber: hey I love Twilight, mainly cause it opened lots of doors for new obsessions, including Rob!

TheShagDaddy: it was well written with stephanie meyer’s awesome ability of description

Amber: speaking of new obsessions, Twilight started a new one for you with Twitter!

TheShagDaddy: it’s not an obsession, it’s a casual hobby that i can stop any time you say.

TheShagDaddy: that was after joining twitter right?

TheShagDaddy: hmmm..i think maybe it was because i liked the idea of being 1 of a handful of straight guys willing to read and talk about twilight

Amber: it was kind of nice to hear a real man’s opinion

TheShagDaddy: it was after that i realized i liked the attention and that somebody gave a shit about what i had to say

TheShagDaddy: also why i joined twitter, i’m an attention whore

TheShagDaddy: of course i kept going to see where the story was going to go. and to have something else to blog about, i wanted to keep the ladies please

Amber: Ha, good point.

Amber: but seriously, was it the vampires or the love story that was the biggest draw

TheShagDaddy: the love story, it reminded me the way i felt about things WAY back in high school

Amber: Are you saying I was your Bella? LOL

Amber: i know the ending made you sad. how are you filling the void now that you finished the saga?

TheShagDaddy: by constently talking about it to Coworker #1 and Coworker #2 at work

Amber: Are you breaking those guys down? Making them want to read it?

TheShagDaddy: not really, but Coworker #2 saw twilight on his own. he doesn’t even have a girlfriend

Amber: okay, we may have enough to wrap this if you want, just one more question

TheShagDaddy: i don’t mind, i just hope this is what was wanted

Amber: if you could give one tip to ladies who want to get their DH/BF/SO to read Twilight, what would it be?

TheShagDaddy: don’t push so hard and if they do read any of it, definitely reward it. a smart guy will keep reading after that

Amber: okay cool, you want to add anything else?

TheShagDaddy: yeah, don’t read book 3 in breaking dawn, totally anti-climatic. i wish i could just go back and keep speculating what i thought was going to happen. my thoughts were way better than the book.

Yeah, I could write about that all day, and act like a silly teenage girl everytime.

I had a realization today, while winding down my last few days of my vacation. My job is really hindering my abilities to blog, write, view pictures and videos of, make pictures and videos of, and hang posters in my office of Rob Pattinson. I’m realizing this is truly a crime against humanity and should be fixed.

That made me think, what jobs are out there that would let me do all of the above and not shame my obsession with Rob, but encourage it! The answer is so simple… a tween magazine! I’m a journalist/PR person by day and a kick ass blogger by night, so it seems kind of obvious that they should hire me, right? I mean, I’m pretty sure I meet all of the qualifications:

• When I hear words like soft, dumpster and moist, I giggle. A lot. More then any adult woman should.
• I have several posters of Rob Pattinson that I have no where to hang. I’d love to hang them in my office, but my current office may find that weird. New tweenie magazine office will require them!
• I use terms like “for serious” and “OMG”, and not just online. But in real life. Yes, so I got the lingo down.
• I can think of silly things like Edward tattoos, nail decals and locker magnets that can be included FREE with your next issue. J-14, I’m looking at you…
• Plus, I can seriously write a great article about why Rob is better than Taylor, or Efron, or the JoBros, or any of those other little kids that just don’t meet the “RPattz Standard.”

See, so I should be hired tomorrow, right? What’s that? You mean, I have to write articles on other little teeny bopper actors and try to talk about how dreamy they are. Um, no, can’t do it. And you are telling me I won’t have a personal editor to help me take down the dirtiness level of all my stories. I mean, the “Lookup and Replace” function on my Word will only work the first few times I replace words like “do me” with “kiss me.”

Never mind, maybe this isn’t the perfect job for me. If only this blog will start making me my millions. When, oh when, will that happen?!?

One of my blogging buddies is gonna shut down her blog (*grumbles* stupid real life *more grumbles*) and she had some classic posts that I could not let “fade to black.” So, today, I am using my blog to post these two posts from Robsession.ca. Oddly enough, they are both job applications to join Rob’s staff, cause let’s face it, we can take WAY better care of him then the current staff.

This first post was born out of the attack on Rob Pattinson by the group of skank hos. When we realized that Rob’s security team was clearly not doing it’s job to the best of it’s abilities, well, I know I had to step in…

After watching the pandemonium that occurred today, my friends Amber (from RobMyWorld.com), Lisa and I are offering our services as Robert Pattinson’s bodyguards. We are both willing to put in the time and effort involved in keeping Robert safe from those TwiHards that are deemed dangerous and a threat to Robert’s safety and personal well-being.

Summary: Exceptionally kickass Bodyguard with no professional experience, but the will and drive to kick some tweenie girl ass if necessary.

Summary of Qualifications:

* Exceptional Knowledge of street fighting, including pulling hair, jabbing eyes out and kicking right in the nuts.

* Strong ability to spot Twihards that may pose potential danger, including those wearing Twilight tees, carrying Edward bags and wearing K-Stew-esque plaid shirts.

* Great negotiating and people skills when “handling” HHH, which will be quite often.

* Excellent ability to handle emergencies and slap a ho into next week.

* Great physical strength and stamina, beyond what is necessary for protecting HHH (ifyoukowwhati’msayinandithinkyoudo).

Education: Chuck Norris’ School of Ass Kicking, Graduate – Magnum Cum Fighter

Katharine’s Resume:

Objective: Seeking the position of protector of His Holy Hotness

Summary: While I have no previous professional experience as a Bodyguard, I have managed to keep a three year old safe and out of trouble.

Summary of Qualifications:

* Former FanGirl, which allows me to pre-determine and intercept undesirable subjects, as I know how the teenager stalker’s mind works. And it’s a scary, scary place.

* Excellent ability to use distraction as a tool to divert attention from Robert and his current… um… position. *Wink, wink, nudge, nudge. Knowwhatimean? Knowwhatimean?)

* Willing to put myself in harms way by tackling FanGirls and using my copy of Breaking Dawn as a weapon. That sucker is big. And hard. (oops… did I just say that out loud?)

* Evil Little Pixie. ‘Nuff said.

Education: Christina Aguilera School of Bitch Slapping, Graduate – Valedictorian

Lisa’s Resume

Objective: Keeping HHH safe from Twi-hos…and the occasional Twi-mom

Summary: I’m a high school teacher. They may not call that bodyguarding, but I’ve got mad skillz.

Summary of qualifications:

* I can stop a rampaging teenager with a LOOK. I deal with crazed fangirls every day, and have managed to make them put their Twilight books away for hours at a time.

* Experience with scratching, biting and kicking. And pulling hair. Don’t ask.

* Can flip my hair with deadly accuracy. (See education)

* Much like “Popeye”, Rob’s Cannes bodyguard, I have a gentle touch for Rob, and a strong arm for everyone else. And will bend over backwards to make sure that Rob is satisfied with my “services”. Literally.

* Oh, and I’m a ninja.

Education: Graduated summa cum laude from the Charlie’s Angels School of Hairdressing and Ass Kicking. Major in Ass Kicking, minor in Kick Ass Hair.

Of course, we all have noticed how Rob has had some problem’s dressing himself lately. Missed buttons, etc. Where is his stylist? Well, Katharine thought it may be good to go ahead na apply for that as well. Hey, she said if she get’s it, I can be her assistant! I told her she could take care of the top buttons while I get the bottom ones, but seems she didn’t like that arrangement as much as me!

Application Letter for job as Rob’s stylist:

To Whom It May Concern,

I would like to apply for the apparently vacant position of Personal Stylist for Mr. Robert Pattinson, helping him dress properly for any and all events that he is invited to.

So you say I am NOT supposed to unbutton them? I am confuzzled...

While looking at photos of Robert at the MTV Movie Awards, I noticed almost immediately that his shirt wasn’t buttoned properly, and that his shirt collar was tucked in. While I understand that many stars like to dress themselves, I find it difficult to believe that no one double-checked his clothes before he went out.

Perhaps he adjusted or removed his jacket and shirt prior to arriving at the awards ceremony, but then I have come to the conclusion that Kellan, Kristen, Taylor, Cam, Christian, Peter, Mike, and the rest of the gang all are incredibly unobservant. How could that many people not notice that his shirt was off by about two buttons, and that his shirt collar was under his jacket collar? (On that point, Rob, you really need to smack a few of them upside the head.)

I have 30-plus years of experience in dressing myself, including buttoning my shirt, tying my shoes (no Velcro!), and putting my pants on. As a graphic designer, I also have a sense of colour and aesthetics.

On the point of aesthetics, Rob needs to wear more red, dark blue, “sexpenders,” the “Shiteous Nikes,” tuxedos (as often as possible at awards shows), and a bit of a beard. Oh, and the Ray Bans are a must. For any and all outfits.
