So, you may have noticed that the name of my blog has NOTHING to do with what I actually blog about (Rob, Twilight,
Cool blog names make Rob smile!
Rob, Rob’s Friends, Rob). I’ve decided it’s time to change that, and thanks to my blogging buddy over at Random Acts of Rob, I’ve figured out a seamless, pain free way to do this.
Unfortunately, my creativity is stifling and I NEED some help!! AND since you ladies (and gentleman) are my target audience and the type of people I want to attract, why don’t YOU name my blog?
Here is what you have to do:
Brainstorm on some creative names. Obviously, they should be Rob, Twilight and/or anything related to those subjects. However, if you have an amazing name but are not sure it will fit, then send it anyway!
Either email the creative names to me (amber@joebendesigns.com), or you can post them as a comment on my blog. Obviously, if someone has the same name and that name is chosen as the winner, then first come, first serve on the winner! Also, understand that by submitting the name to me you are allowing me to use it in any way I wish. You can’t change your mind, or sue me, or anything else like that.
The contest will end at 11:59 p.m. on May 13 and the winner will be announced on May 15.
Now, while it is completely my intention to make the winning blog name the name of my blog, I cannot guarantee that the winning name will become my blog name. There are things like copyright, domains, number of entries, etc. that must be taken into consideration. Don’t take offense, it is all meant to be fun!!
I will then contact the winner and send them their totally awesome, Twilight and/or Rob prize. I have not decided on the prize yet, but it will definitely be worth your time! Promise!

A couple months ago, when I started this blog, and never thought ANYONE would read it or give a crap what I had to say. Now that I have a following, I realized that they may have missed some of my really good posts from the beginning.
This Saturday, let’s take a journey down memory lane and go back in time and see some of my favorite posts!
Oh Rob, there you are, living the dream…and you can’t get your damn mind off of Hot Pockets.
But c’mon Rob, if you are going to have an inner monlogue we can all hear (ala Edward style), you should think of more important things. Like me, naked, surrounded by Hot Pockets…I mean, er, um, about how wonderful all of the movies are and what an honor it is to be there!
Hmmm...those pants are fitting a little too snuggly...and I like it!
I could not understand why Stephanie (aka FakerStephanieR) would be concerned that you may need to pay for your tux, but after seeing this picture, I can understand. Looks like SOMEONE decided to go commando in the rental…and, um, wow!
Steph, no worries, this is an opportunity for you to make that money back plus. How you ask?
I will buy those pants off you right now…just name your price. But, seriously, if you washed them, the offer is rescinded. And if Rob sweat in the them ever so slightly, I will double my offer. Mmmmmmm…(I know, I’m disgusting!)

Want to really bank? If you send the pants with Rob STILL WEARING THEM (commando, of course), well, I will give you my first born. Seriously, and you don’t even have to wait because he is sitting here right next to me!
It’s just good to see that big feet really do equal a big you-know-what!
Sometimes living in the middle of the country pays off. Not when hoping to meet anyone famous. Not when hoping Sam Bradley may cruise through for a quick set. BUT when wanting to go to TwiCon 2009!
So, what’s holding me back? Oh yeah, $255 to register, plus additional $20 to go to 100 Monkeys concert. Hubby not excited about that. In hopes of convincing him that he should definitely most positively let me go and that this IS a good investment of $275, I’m listing all the great reasons I have to be there.
1. It’s in Dallas, within driving distance. No expensive airfare.
2. Got a place to crash, for free. No expensive hotel.
3. Ashley Greene will be there, and who else but me can invite her to the big LTT/LTR sleepover we are all having.
4. Someone mentioned that a girl got to touch Kellan’s abs while at another convention. I must touch Kellen’s abs.
There ain't nothing wrong with good ol blog research!
(What?!? It’s research for my blog!!)
5. Bobby Long AND Marcus Foster will both be there. If they throw Sam Bradley in that mix, I am so done!
6. Jackson will be there with 100 Monkeys, and it is my goal to figure out where the after party will be and chill with “Jasper.”
7. I must know if Billy Burke’s amazing ‘stache is real. And then ask him to be my dad!
9. Hillywood will be there! HILLYWOOD!!! Don’t know who they are? Well, you do now.
AND THE MOST IMPORTANT REASON OF ALL…
C'mon... if it happens at Wal-Mart, it can happen anywhere!
10. What if Rob makes an appearance?!? I know you doubt me, but if he can show up at the Wal-Mart headquarters in Bentonville, AR, then he could end up in Dallas (especially if his boys Long and Foster are there). It COULD happen!!
There is my Top 10…do you all have any other good reasons I can use as ammunition?
All I know, is if I win, you will all be rewarded with pics, first hand accounts, etc., and my hubby will get numerous “special hugs!”

Sam Bradley has really grown in popularity the past few months. And I’m sure that the fact he is friends with a certain guy who may have played a teenage vampire in a blockbuster movie has helped some. And, I hate to admit, the only reason I knew or found out about Sam is because of Rob Pattinson (and JBell who is my enabler in all things related to Twilight, Rob or anything even remotely related to those 2 topics).
But, Rob is not the reason I continue to listen.
Yes, we all love Too Far Gone because that is a song that came as a direct result of Sam being besties with Rob (Rob was a co-writer), but let’s go beyond that.
2. Sam comments on blogs, outing us all. I’ve seen 2 cases of this so far, once over at Letters to Rob and again at Random Acts of Rob. He has admitted that these are him (and maybe he’ll verify on my blog as well, hint, hint, Sam). Why does him commenting make me so excited?
A. It shows he is keeping an eye on what the fans are saying.
2. It makes me feel more normal that I also have Google Alerts set up for my name.
III. We are officially all 1 degree from Rob (ala 7 degrees of Keving Bacon).
3. Songs like You Think You’re Free, Sea Blue and Derek, genius!!
4. He makes YouTube videos, like this. AND I love him for that because I can’t make videos period! (P.S. Subscribe to his YT channel!!)
5. And the final reason I love Sam Bradley…he is adorable!!

My blog recieved its first official award from the wonderful, beautiful people over at Twilog earlier this week, and of course, I just knew it was a matter of time. My awesomeness was bound to spread quickly across the internet, and I have, of course, been proven correct.

4. Continuing my quest to make my husband into a full fledged unicorn. It started by watching the movie, then all the commentary…now my quest continues to get him to read the books.

Firstly we’d like to say a big sorry you everyone that the change to the pre-order date was such a pain.
It’s because of the amount of interest from folks like you that we realised there was going to be a lot more demand for the Soundtrack than we initially thought. This meant in order to make sure we could meet demand and exceed everyone’s expectations, that a lot more work had to go into various areas.
There has been no update on the date to make sure this didn’t happen again. I can confirm though that big news is literally days, if not hours away. So do keep up do date with our facebook page or look out for the Dreamboat and How To Be emails that will be coming to everyone who’s signed up.

At the request of several of my online lady friends over at Letters to Twilight/Letters to Rob, I’ve decided to devote my next blog to twittering. But not just any twittering, twittering with the obsessive Twilight/Rob Pattinson fan in mind. Because that’s what I am, and that’s what I know!
Before we start, let me give you a bit of back story. Really, I’ve only been on Twitter for about a month, so I am by no means an expert. However, I feel like I’ve learned quite a bit.

The next trick is following people in categories you want to keep up with. As I said before, I am a Twilight/Rob fanatic, so I picked people I felt would keep me fully informed on all of that news. Here is a list of a few must adds:
Okay, I will give in to the social media gods who demand that if I intend to sell my wares online, then I MUST blog. I’m not great at this. I’m much better making snappy comments on other blogs, such as LTT/LTR then I am making witty comments on my own accord.
So, here is my social experiment. If you see and or read this blog, you are here awfully early in my blogging career. And it that case, you should go away till I get better at it!
