Is It Bad That I Feel Insanely Underwhelmed?

Let me set the scene…

It was 5 p.m. I was driving in my car and checking my Twitter. At the stop lights, people. I want to LIVE! And I saw the tweet that a pic of Edward and Bella was shown on the TV. The first REAL pic from the set of Breaking Dawn. AND on top of that, it was from the honeymoon and everyone kept talking about them being in a very compromising position. With Edward on top. Just how I always imagined it. ::sigh::

So, the excitement was building, people were going bat shit crazy on Twitter and all I am thinking is, this is it. The holy grail of all movie stills. I run and open the still and I get this:

And all I could think was…

That was it? I am so underwhelmed.

I’m guessing you all think I am crazy right? It’s Rob naked in a bed. How could I not be all fangirly?

Well, first, it’s Rob’s naked shoulders. I’d be excited if I hadn’t already seen that and more in Remember Me. To me, this is just a continued reminder of  how downplayed the scenes will be anyway since it’s a PG-13 movie. This isn’t fan fiction people. It’s still fade to black.

You know what I do like about this picture? The color is gorgeous. Robward looks amazing and sweet and so much less pale. Kristen’s skin is flawless, which makes me sick with jealousy. I definitely see Edward and Bella, even if it isn’t that much different then some of the better manips peeps have been making.

Maybe I’m just getting a little bit exhausted of Twilight. The excitement I had 2 years ago is just not even close to the same level it is now. Give me a pic of Rob in any other movie, and I am excited. But man, I just can’t seem to muster that same level of fangirly-ness at all when it comes to Breaking Dawn.

I’m sure I’ll be singing a different tune when November rolls around. Cause really, Condon looks to be doing a fantabulous job so far. I’m hoping he can give us a finale that will satisfy the fandom. And make me fangirl like a mofo.

Gold, Guns and Girls…. Yep, It’s New Movie Time!! Plus, Some PCA Goodies!

Yes, my title is a Metric song (with seemingly fitting lyrics). And the song is cool so you will deal with it.

Anyways, yesterday was one of those days that truly does not come often enough. Are you ready?

ROB IS ON FOR A NEW MOVIE!!!!!

Okay, deep breaths. Srsly, these are the days I live for. I mean, I love drooling over a pretty photo or two, but movies are where it is at. It means Rob is still going. Still working that career and still making pretty damn good choices outside of Twilight!! PLUS, I get to add a new blog category! EXCITING!

So, what is this movie you ask? What is it about?

Of course, it’s based on a book (since apparently those are the only movies Rob signs on for), Cosmopolis, which I am having a hell of a time pronouncing. Good thing I write a blog instead of something that involves me talking. So here is what Amazon says about the book:

DeLillo skates through a day in the life of a brilliant and precocious New Economy billionaire in this monotone 13th novel, a study in big money and affectlessness. As one character remarks, 28-year-old Eric Packer “wants to be one civilization ahead of this one.” But on an April day in the year 2000, Eric’s fortune and life fall apart. The story tracks him as he traverses Manhattan in his stretch limo. His goal: a haircut at Anthony’s, his father’s old barber. But on this day his driver has to navigate a presidential visit, an attack by anarchists and a rapper’s funeral. Meanwhile, the yen is mounting, destroying Eric’s bet against it. The catastrophe liberates Eric’s destructive instinct-he shoots another character and increases his bet. Mostly, the action consists of sequences in the back of the limo (where he stages meetings with his doctor, various corporate officers and a New Economy guru) interrupted by various pit stops. He lunches with his wife of 22 days, Elise Shifrin. He has sex with two women, his art consultant and a bodyguard. He is hit in the face with a pie by a protester. He knows he is being stalked, and the novel stages a final convergence between the ex-tycoon and his stalker.

Rob’s character is Eric, which will give #HotEric multiple meanings and that rules. The book sounds a bit crazy and weird, which is I’m sure the reason why Rob would go with it. Let’s be honest though, I saw the words sex, limo and pie in the face, and I was sold!

Plus, this movie is a milestone. It’ll be his first movie after the end of Twilight. Oh happy day!

Oh, and ladies, you know we are gonna have to put some time in and learn more about this movie. We are definitely doing book club on the blog! I’ll figure out the deets (when we’ll start, schedule, etc.) and post them next week.

Disclaimer… word is the role is in final negotiations, but it’s close to a done deal. So, there is a chance it may not happen. But hey, I’m a glass half full kind of girl, so let’s not think too long and hard (TWSS) on that.

Something else happened yesterday too. What was it….. oh yeah, that’s right. The People’s Choice Awards. I almost forgot due to the fact that the movie news is so much awesome-er then some silly awards show that really doesn’t count. But no worries, I still got the goods for you!

First up, the montage for Rob on Movie Stars Under 25. We’ll just pretend we didn’t hear them state that Rob plays guitar in a band when that is such an obvious rumor of the untrue variety.

How about some awkward KStew for you? You know I love her, and she looked amazing! I’m serious. This may have been one her best award show looks yet.

I don’t care what anyone says, I found this hilarious. Let the awkwardness runneth over!

AND…. just in case you haven’t had enough awkward, the acceptance speech!! (Don’t die from Rob adorableness! Trust me. It’s hard not to do!)

End Your 2010 with Crying, Drooling and Laughing at Rob Vids

Is it really the last day of the year? Wow. What happened?

Well, what is the best way to roll out the last day of 2010? Watching Rob videos. Duh. Plus, if you have kids like me which equates to no plans since babysitters are hard to come by on this day, you are gonna need something watch when you are trying really hard to stay up till midnight! Hopefully Rob can help you.

Remember Me — Angels on the Moon (Thriving Ivory)

Go on ahead and hate me now cause I am starting with a tear jerker. SilverVintage82 took an almost too perfect song and set it to Remember Me, and I was crying by the end. And now I want to watch it so I can cry even more. Really, so sad that this movie was so misunderstood. But this video just reminds you of how good the story really is.

::sigh:: I love Rome Rob. Bunches. The hair is perfect, he’s still so smiley and giddy. He just makes me happy. So I knew immediately I would love this video by Dontliveinregret. And I do, well, other then the song is not quite perfect and the fuzziness. But still, it’s Rome Rob! Mama like!

Water for Elephants ● Jacob //Marlena [HD]

A “just the tip” vid, but it’s Water for Elephants, and I am still kind of fangirling over the past couple days and this movie. Lacedtears took all the bits of Jacob and Marlena from the first trailer and made a video concentrating on them, and it’s gorgeous! I just love it!

One more “just the tip” since it’s such a light video week. Hopefully SweetMelodyxxx will take this vid out to the full version, but for now we’ll settle for this tiny little bit of hotness!

So, Rob vids are kinda light this week, so I’m posting this vid by Loonnddreess. It’s got Rob in it, but it’s kinda focused more on Bella and Twilight. But, since I like Twilight and I like KStew and I like that all the scenes with Rob seem to be the ones in slow mo, I thought you all would like it!

Seriously, Can We Cool It With The Breaking Dawn Pictures Already??

Well. Sometimes you get what you wish for.

Okay, I know you all are going to hate me for that comment. And I understand. Why would I want the influx of hot ass Rob to slow down?

The Dummies Guide to What Happened With Rob This Weekend

What the hell happened this weekend? Did Brazil peeps realize we were all dying around here and decided that it would be good international relations to send over a bazillion pictures/videos to us in order to ensure that we are completely unproductive this Monday while we catch up?

Yep. That appears to be exactly what happened. And after the drought, I realized. I was totally unprepared for this. I should have been. I should have already had a folder titled “Breaking Dawn Hotness” on my hard drive ready.

Bad me. Bad.

So here is me, trying to stumble my way through a weekend full of Rob on a boat. I say we need the music again. Yep. But this time it’s acapella, high school Glee-esque.

All right, now I am officially in the mood. Here we go!

First, a video. Seriously, I love the boat! And KStew is obviously one of those people. Gah. Just let the boy drive! (Psst… don’t get all excited panda at the beginning. Doubles. You’ll see.)

Who Knew a Little Q&A Could Be That Much Fun?

So, some genius somewhere came up with idea of a Q&A that you can post through Twitter, and since I pretty much follow the crowd on everything, I had to give it a try. First off, I realized people ask hilarious questions. Secondly, I realized this was a really great way to get out of doing a real blog today.

After a fun Twitter night, I decided to post my fave Q&A’s for all of you to enjoy. It’s kind of like reading an interview, except more ridiculous and I am really not famous enough to be doing interviews for anybody, even my own blog. Personally, I think the hubs got WAY better questions then me. And by better, I mean more ridiculous.

You mean it's not #normal to FedEx dirty clothes across the country? (Yes, Rob speaks in hashtags in my fantasy.)

If you had the opportunity to interview Rob, what would be the one question you would have to ask?

Do you REALLY have a box of dirty clothes in the corner? And if I get a follow up… Can I please wash them for you? Cause that’s all kinds of disgusting…

Does TheShagDaddy ever fangirl?

Yes. He fangirled badly at the Remember Me trailer yesterday at the theatre. He was repeating all of the lines, and I’m pretty sure people were staring.

If you saw Rob at a bar what would you do?

You mean after I went to the bathroom and fangirled in one of the stalls? Just let him chill…

Anytime you regret pulling TheShagDaddy into the obsession?

Yeah, when he had to do a date with Cardboard Rob and he recites the lines to the Remember Me trailer at the movies. In public.

Seriously, will one of you fold these clothes?!?

No seriously, sometimes I do. It was all slightly more exciting when I had to hide it all the time. But, in the end, it’s SOOOO much easier now that he gets it!

Anytime you wish you wouldn’t be obsessed?

Yeah, every time I stare at the pile of clothes that I need to fold that’s been sitting there for 2 weeks. Other than that… no. Never.

What is the ONE thing, you think makes you obsessed of Twilight? Or Robsessed while we’re at it?

Twilight: Sparkly vampires… enough said! Rob: The lack of brain to mouth filter.

If the TheShagDaddy wasn’t an issue, who would you have sex with, Bobby, Sam, Marcus, or Rob?

Rob. Always Rob. Oh, and TheShagDaddy is never an issue if I have a chance to do Rob. Just sayin’.

Have you ever gotten so drunk that you passed out?

Why yes, yes I have. I was in college after all. I’m pretty sure that is a prerequisite to graduation.
