If you paid extra special attention to the MTV Movie Awards, you would have noticed a very odd choice for a song being played when they showed the clip of Twilight before the announcement of “Best Fight.” It was by and far, my favorite 80′s song EVER… Take on Me by A-Ha!!

First off, let me just say that I CANNOT remember the last time I watched the movie awards. I feel confident saying it’s been years. But look what Rob and Twilight have done to me. I’m sitting here squeeing like a little fangirl, shaking with anticipation, watching the New Moon trailer about 20 million times and have already downloaded it to my computer for future viewing!

As we get ready for this evening and the screams that will be heard world wide when the New Moon trailer is officially unveiled on the MTV Movie Awards tonight, I think it’s important that we look back to last year’s awards and see how Twilight really has changed EVERYTHING!
First off, a lot of us did not even have Twilight or Robert Pattinson on on our radar. Gasp… I know. Yes, everybody, I am a late comer to this game.But hey, let’s face it, better late then never!
Secondly, watch the fans…see how they aren’t even really looking in the direction of Rob and Kristen. Big difference to now, where red carpets are now full of screaming, crying and even fainting over the sight of Rob. In fact, from what I’ve read, it appears that after walking the carpet once, the Twilight stars had to go back and walk again so the press would realize they were actually actors. Can you believe it?!?
And finally, do they not seem to be completely underestimate the craziness that is coming on their horizon? Maybe they couldn’t see it (I mean, Alice is just a fictional character) or maybe they were just hoping it wouldn’t get to that point. For whatever reason, I love the real innocence of it all!

MTV promo people, you are true geniuses! I bow down to you for hooking us up! I’m not sure when was the last time I watched the movie awards, but I am on it this year, from beginning to end!
The MTV Movie Awards, as you all know cause you voted like crazy for Rob as I instructed you to do, are coming up tomorrow night at 9 ET/8 CT and we are going to celebrate like crazy on Twitter. We will talk Rob, his hair, his clothing, his lack of underwear, EVERYTHING while watching him sweep all his categories. You will not want to miss this EPIC event!!
If you are on Twitter, then I’m sure you are familiar with trending, and we will definitely need a Rob/MTV specific hash tag for that night. Should it be simple, like #robmtv, or maybe a bit more, like #robdominatesmtv? (Sorry, I just wanted an excuse to use the word dominate in the same phrase as Rob’s name! The MTV Awards are this Sunday and we all know that Rob and those other two Twilight peeps… oh yeah, Kristen and Jacob, will be there to present some awesome New Moon footage. See, I already know it will be awesome, cause it has to be. But wouldn’t it be nice if Rob could collect some awards while he is there? Of course it would, so you all need to get on the horn and VOTE!!

Breakthrough Performance: Male Resist the urge to vote for a cute kid or the guy from Slumdog Millionaire (which I am sure was good, but haven’t seen it yet). You can justify it this way, its the only award that will get Rob on stage alone, this really is the role that is jump starting his career and you know what, he really effing deserves it. He deserves some award for having to put up with all the crazy Twi-hards!
Best Kiss We all know this has got to be the winner, hands down. No other kiss was even close to as hot as this one. Of course, that’s mainly cause Rob was not involved in any other kiss, so the others never stood a chance. This is the kiss that made my husband a unicorn. True story.
Best Fight If you don’t vote for this because of Rob, then you should vote because of Cam Gigandet and his AWESOME “Funny or Die” video. I mean, we really should give Cam as much love as we can. He doesn’t get to keep riding the Twilight franchise gravy train like everyone else!

Great news today!! Rob has officially picked up another movie from Summit. One not in ANY way related to Twilight. Here’s the scoop from MTV:
Pattinson will play the lead role in “Remember Me,” a story of a young couple whose burgeoning relationship is complicated by a succession of family tragedies that test their bond, according to ScreenDaily.com. The makers of the film, which had previously been titled “Memoirs,” have not yet settled on which actress who will play Pattinson’s love interest.
So, no leading lady yet, eh? Since obviously it can’t be me (trust me, my acting skills are atrocious!!), let me throw some names out there for some ladies I wouldn’t mind seeing giving my man a “special hug” on screen!
1. Ashley Greene
I’m really not wanting Twilight rehashed, but she is just so damn cute and I love her! I can totally picture it!
2. Kat Dennings
Seen her name thrown around quite a bit, and I’d be willing to share with her.
3. Olivia Thrilby
Another up and coming actress. There were some people who wanted to see her as Bella, so seeing her opposite Rob in something else may pacify them.
So, this leads me to ask… Who do you think would be a great leading lady for Rob (and no, it can’t be you, unless you are Ashley Greene and read my blog, to which I give you a fangirl squeal!!)?
When I first saw the clips and trailer for Little Ashesstarring Robert Pattinson, I thought I would just have to pass on this movie. Why?
First off, the ‘stache. It’s ridiculous. Second, the homoerotic plot line that the movie will follow. I have no problem with that, but, just like any sex scenes, it just makes me feel uncomfortable when watching in a theatre. And THE TUCK, well, that really just finished it off for me. No, I could wait at least till DVD.
However,it’s possible that MTV of all places may have won me over with this quote:
But as Pattinson has stated on numerous occasions, he isn’t looking to remain a teen heartthrob — and brave choices like “Ashes” are what turns a young actor into a Johnny Depp rather than a Kirk Cameron.
Hmmm, I like the Johnny Depp comparison. And it’s true, this could be one of those roles that makes him more than just that teen vampire (which, even as a Twi fan, is the last thing I want to see happen).
Plus, when you got friends like @Late2thePartee making awesome videos like this, well, you get swayed!

So, I’ve decided. Although it may not matter and I might have to wait for a DVD anyway (seems the middle of Oklahoma is not a good place to see movies with homoerotic subplots), if, by some miracle, it plays in a theatre near me, I will make every effort to go and see it. I promise!
But wait a minute, which TV show are you on? Cause I must of missed that….Oh wait, your not on a TV show, you say (or so says IMDB)?!? Well, then WTF? I think MTV put it well:
Perhaps it is because RPattz is just that powerful in the world of pop culture. So powerful that in fact he beat out equally “Gossip Girl’s” Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick as well as “The Office” star John Krasinski.
