It’s Time for My Letter to Santa Again

Dear Santa,

Gah. I can’t believe I completely forgot to write you a letter sooner this year. Life’s been hectic, ya know, but it’s still two days before Christmas so I got time.

First off, I have to say, mildly disappointed that last years letter went unanswered. I mean, c’mon. I only wanted one thing. It’s okay. Maybe it’s for the best. I got plenty of other cool Twilight goodies instead.

But this year is a new year. So, all is forgiven, and I’ve been especially good so I’ll make my requests this year slightly more realistic. Slightly.

1. The FULL video of Rob’s performance from Songs from a Room. In 1080p HD blue-ray awesomeness. And can we get a commentary with that as well? Yep, cause this minute of music heaven just isn’t enough for me…

2. A plane ticket to LA for the week of April 15 (Note: I write this blog the day before I post, so at the time it was still April 15. And since it’s not confirmed that it’s moved, I’m just gonna leave it.), and you know, maybe a ticket to a little premiere that’s happening sometime around then. Water for Elephants ring a bell for you? Actually, can you make that 2 tickets? TheShagDaddy has to come along since that is our anniversary week and all that. Plus, even he wants to see this shiz. Who doesn’t? Have you seen the trailer?

3. A release date for Bel Ami. I don’t need tickets or anything else. I just need to know that the movie will be released some time in the near future in the U.S. I promise I won’t tell anyone else. You can just write it on a piece of paper, wrap it up and put it under a tree. It would be preferable if you’d write the date on the back of a still of Rob making sexy times on the set.

See Santa? I am soooo much more realistic this year. What was I thinking last year? But this year, I think I knocked it out of the park with this list.

Rob Likes Shiny Guitars

Stop teasing me. No seriously. Just stop. My heart can take no more.

Ooooo, that is a pretty guitar!

According to Norman, Rob bought a “Fender Stratocaster John English Master Built Zebrawood Guitar” which to me sounds like “blah, blah, blah guitar. I’m sure it’s badass. Actually, I have no doubt in my mind it is. The man has good taste.

Then I started thinking, “Damn.  Why did I NOT visit this store whilst in L.A?”

This store is clearly full of badass-ery. It must be for all the millions of times Rob has been in there buying guitars.

Like back in May…

What do all these pictures have in common? No, I’m not talking about the hat, although damn. I did not realize we were going on a year with this baby.

They involve Rob buying a guitar that it seems we will never see him play. And this makes me sad. ::sigh::

Plus, maybe if I’d have popped my head in for a minute I would have ran into Rob. And then I would have told him how all the guitars were so shiny, cause srsly. That is the extent of my knowledge of guitars. Damn my parents for not buying me one when I was a kid. Unless of course we are talking about Guitar Hero guitars, then I’m pretty sure I’d own Rob’s ass.

Really, I just wanted to revisit all the Rob Guitar porn with you guys. Cause it is hot!

Lots of Good Things to be Thankful This Year

Awwwww, it’s Thanksgiving. Well, at least over here in the States it is. That means lots of good grubbing and meditating on all the things in your life you are thankful for. Of course, plenty of these things aren’t exactly what I would say at the table as the family does the round-the-round, but they are most def things that I am very thankful for!

I'm thankful for you and your crazy vampire dreams!

1. I am thankful for Stephenie Meyer.

Maybe that’s lame. I don’t know.

But I do know this. This woman has literally changed my life. And I like to think for the better. These books/movies have brought me life-long friends, opportunities I never thought existed and just awakened a part of me that realized “hey, I’m a mom, but I can still have fun.” Plus, they brought me to Rob and all the fun it is to drool, as well make fun of him.

2. I am thankful for my friends who get it.

I had friends before all this. Not many, but I did have friends. But the friends I have now, seriously, I love them. I can talk to them about anything, and I know at least a couple will probably last a lifetime. These friends get it, and I just can’t imagine a day without talking to some of them. It’s what gets me by.

3. I am thankful for Rob.

This is a big fat duh on my part. But it needs to be said. I am thankful for Rob. Yes, I am thankful for all the pretty, pretty pictures. And the movies. And the interviews. And the videos.

But I am also thankful for the music. And not just Rob ‘s. It’s led me in this whirlwind of not only Rob’s friends, but then it just opened me up to being a bit more experimental in my music choice. And I LOVE this

Update!

I am in a turkey coma and contemplating waking up at 4 a.m. to go shopping. In the interest of the fact that I need to be well rested in order to fight people off, I’m not going to be posting tomorrow because I’m going to bed.

I Really Have No Idea What I Am Doing AKA The Post That Was All Over the Place

I had an idea for a post. I did. Then @FakerRPattz (the premier fake Rob on Twitter!) left me this message and I got all distracted pants:

I die....

Just picturing Rob, even a fake one at that, in this scenario, well, it killed me. It made me start going through my stash and looking for more Rob porn and then listening to Rob tunes, so I died. What a good way to go, right?

Then I realized that I still had a blog to write. Well, crap. So I’m gonna ramble a little bit about some good times and you all are going to like it because, well, I said so. And since as I am writing this it is still technically my birthday, you have to do what I say! :)

Sure you all heard the news… Rob is back in London. I’m actually a bit surprised just because I wasn’t sure he’d have enough time to slip a trip in there, but hey, sounds like he wanted to get some more bromance time in with Marcus before filming starts (since he was spotted at M’s concert). Kudos to that Rob! You know how I love me some Marcus! Make him come back to the states with you.

Thinking of Rob and Marcus together then made me think about those guys singing, which always makes me think of the song Broken. You’ve all probably heard Rob sing Broken, which is amazeballs.

Oh yes, that does things for you, right? But, have you all heard Marcus’ version?

I know a lot of you are new to the blog and may not have seen my bazillion of pushes for Marcus and his amazing voice. I was lucky enough to be at Marcus’ first USA show EVER and he surprised us all with Broken, and we all died and fell in love. You will too. Listen.

P.S. Do not talk about all the fangirling in the background, cause, well, some of the screaming is mine. No seriously, I can pick my voice out of that video no problem since one of my BFFs was videoing this. Oh, and if you are wondering what Marcus says before he starts, it “I haven’t played this song in a long time. But my friend keeps doing it and it’s pissing me off.” Wonder what friend he means? ;) And you hear someone holler Amber in the background. Yeah, they are talking to me. And the girl who says “I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe.” Yep, that’s me.

Anyway, like I said, I have no idea where I was going with all this. All I know is, can I really do wrong by posting Rob music? No. And it was fun for me to relive this little moment in my Rob fangirly-ness!

Newest Rumor…. Are there plans to release the FULL Rob singing video?

Last week, I died because of a small snippet of Rob singing was released. I mean it. I literally died. The person blogging now is just some weird zombie version of me who loves Rob more then brains.

Then, like 2 days ago, I had this in my Twitter timeline:

Yeah, that would be an extended cut of Rob singing. Almost a full minute of that voice that makes the panties vanish. Yep, they  just disappear. As soon as I saw this, I knew that someone read my letter. Someone has this video. Someone is holding on to my holy grail and is not letting it go…… for now.

That someone is the official Songs from a Room people. Someone else in my timeline today (which is Wednesday, cause I write these things in advance fool!) said that Sofar (as they are commonly called) does have plans to release the full video. I may or may not have dropped everything I was doing when I heard that. I was stunned.

So, anyway, I did some investigating and I could not find where they had said, “yes, we will release it.”

I don’t know. The Sofar peeps seem pretty freakin’ cool. Maybe it will happen. I just don’t know yet.

If you are like me and dying of anticipation, let me make some suggestions. Follow Sounds from a Room on Twitter. “like” them on Facebook and subscribe to them on Youtube. Of course, if this happens, you know I will not only tweet it, but post it as well, but you don’t want to have to wait on me. Be one of the first.

Plus, Sofar supports some pretty bad ass other artists, so it is a good follow whether the magical tape is released or not! I mean, if you do nothing else, at least listen to Marcus. I am head over heels in love with Marcus. I act like a freaky giddy little school girl any time I am around him. Yep. True story.

P.S. Sounds from a Room peeps — If you are reading this, I wouldn’t be mad at you if we got a hint in one direction or another. Just sayin’. ;)

Rob Sings. I Die. Just Another Day in the Life of a Rob Blogger.

Today, quit literally, may have been one of the best days ever. I mean, maybe not the best, but it ranks up there in my top 10, somewhere between my wedding day and the day I hung out with Jason Segal.

This morning, I got free breakfast. A bagel. Blueberry. Yum!

Then, I got free lunch. Shrimp marinated in some Mexican garlic sauce on pasta and steamed veggies. Double yum!

Later that afternoon, I went to my first physical therapy appointment and found out my assigned PT is a hottie. Hello getting my shoulders (or at least my left) rubbed twice a week for the next couple weeks. Triple yum!

I get home, riding all these awesome vibes and pull open the Twitter and what do I find? THIS!

My first thought? How the HELL did Rob keep this little gem hidden for so long?!? The beard indicates that this video dates back to January of this year. JANUARY?!? And NONE of us knew?!

You know what, I think we need to watch again. Just the Rob part this time? Yeah, I thought so…

So, get this, the impromptu performance was filmed in some random person’s living room somewhere in London. Yes, Rob was just chillaxin, watching his bud Marcus Foster (who is equally amazing!) play and something just clicked and he said yeah, I’ll play something.

No. Fucking. Way.

And somewhere in this world, right now, someone has this full song (which we’ve never heard) on video. On freakin‘ video!!! They are holding on to what essentially equates to the holy grail when it comes to Rob fans and, I bet, they have no idea. No freakin‘ idea!!!

So, today, I’m making a plea.

Dear Person Out There with Video of Rob Singing a Fuckawesome Song in Someone’s Living Room,

Please to be releasing that shiz. I mean, yeah get Rob’s okay and all that business because I’m sure you had to get that to even roll out the snippet you did, and then just DO IT! I mean, damn, you could put that on iTunes and charge $15 for what is probably 3-5 minutes and I would buy it. We’d all buy it. Wouldn’t even bat an eye at it. You could be rich. Just sayin’. Or, you know, you can just send it to me. I promise I won’t share. Sort of.

Grab Bag o’ Crap — Gangstas, SNL & Tunes

Now that we are back in to a Rob-light time, this is when I have to start getting a bit creative. Start working the ol’ blogging juices. Since there are a lot of little things going on, you know, things that are worth talking about but not worth dedicating a whole day’s blog too.

Kristen is Straight Gangsta Yo!


Well, if the Stew decided she wanted to look like one of those white middle class girls who think they are straight gangsta, it worked. But you know what. It doesn’t look that bad on her. Maybe cause she is smiling. What can I say? When the girl smiles she is gorgeous. Even with her tomboyish look. Plus, I mean, would I be much more dressed up at an outdoor music festival? Nah, probably not. I don’t like getting sweat on my good clothes.

Rob on SNL?

Ugh, Rob and KStew were the victims of a terrible Saturday Night Live skit. They weren’t in it (duh!) but were impersonated… poorly.

WTF? Of course, this is when I realize and I am too deep in the fandom cause all I can see is everything they could have done to make it better, and didn’t. Like, put them in plaid. Have actual sex hair. I don’t know. Just ick to me.

Of course then I think back to whether or not Rob should just go ahead and make the jump and host SNL himself. Taylor did it, and I have to admit there were some funny moments. I’ve entertained the idea of Rob on SNL before and I go back and forth on whether he should or not. But honestly at this point, it is sheer curiosity of what he would do.

Where is my Soundtrack Listing?

Maybe Lady Antebellum can write a new song about vampire booty calls...

We finally got a teeny bit of word on the Eclipse soundtrack, and I’ll have it in my hands on June 8, or June 4 if someone can get their hands on it and start spreading pirated versions all over the interwebs.

But what gives? How do we still have zero clue who will be on it? It all goes back to I feel like this movie is coming out on June 30 and I know nothing about it. So I pretty much feel like I do about any other movie that is coming out in June. Which really in unacceptable in my privileged, entitled Twilight fandom!! (Kidding… sort of.)

And, although I have no idea where I saw it, I seem to remember Rob saying he may be working on a song himself for Eclipse. Honestly, this is the only reason why I care there is no soundtrack listing. The wait it killing me!

Other Things That Get Me All Excited Pants Besides Rob

I bet you didn’t know there was other stuff besides Rob that get me so excited. Okay, okay…. In all honesty there is very little that gets me as excited as new Rob pictures (well, good ones at least), but there are several things that I am totally in love with that make me squee like a 11 year old fangirl who just spotted TayTay sans shirt.

1. New How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory or True Blood Shows

BBT "New Moon" interpretation... cause everything relates back to Twilight. EVERYTHING.

Nothing makes me happier then cuddling up in my blankie and watching HIMYM, Big Bang or (my TRUE indulgence!) True Blood! Why? Cause I love laughing, love nerds and love smexing vampires. Each ones makes me equally giddy and uber excited!

P.S. Did you know that NPH is on Twitter? Well he is… @ActuallyNPH. Duh.

2. Shoes, Shoes, Shoes

I love shoes of all kinds. High heels, boots, flats, tennis shoes, sandals… all of them! Of course, my kids with their need to eat and have electricity keep me from going too crazy with buying the shoes, but I am a crazy online window shopper! One of my fave sites to window shop through… Must Have Shoes!

3. Books! Lots of Books!

I know, I know. I read a lot of fan fiction. More then I really even want to admit. But I also like lots of books, especially getting in on a new series (since I was late to the Twilight books, I want to be ahead of the game on others!). Can’t miss books I’ve been loving….The Hunger Games (so far, 2 books out with 1 on the way), Hush, Hush (1 book so far with 1 on the way) and, of course, the Sookie Stackhouse Series (10 books with 1 on the way).

Next on the reading list…. Shiver. Another series that I’ve heard good things about. Squee!

4. Finding a Musician Before Anyone Else

Thanks to Twilight, I’ve rekindled my long lost love of music. And I’m starting to become one of those Indie turds that only wants to listen to stuff that no one else listens to. It’s ridiculious, but I can see why fans want to do that. It’s crazy, but here I am, listening to TONS of shitty crap music just to discover 1 or 2 peeps that are amazing. Honestly, so worth it.

P.S. I bookmark many of my fave peeps on my MySpace page. I ONLY use MySpace for music, so we can totes be friends, but I keep it Rob free. But feel free to check it out and see if there is anything you like!

5. Kick ass Thrift Store Finds

Way before i knew the hobo ways of Rob, TheShagDaddy and I have always been thrift store trollers. We have had way too much finding really kick ass stuff that we can’t believe peeps get rid of. Yeah, like my Kate Spade handbag I got for $8 or the 7 for All Mankind jeans that were $12. Yeah, I do all kinds of happy dancing when I make those discoveries.

So we all love Rob and squee like little fan girls when we see him, but what else gets you going? In this #RobDrought, we all need “other” hobbies, so share. Please.

My Breakdown/Review of the New Moon Soundtrack

I’ve had a full weekend to listen to the New Moon soundtrack, and I think it is perfect. For me, it creates the exact mood that the movie will be presenting; depressing and painful. I love the Indie sound of NM Soundtrackit all and it has even made me want to pick up the book again so I can try and figure out each songs placement throughout the story.

And since this album is full of Indie artists, many of which most of us have never heard of, I want to do a track-by-track breakdown of each song on the soundtrack and even provide you guys with some links of where you can find more music by those artists.

FYI: I like physical CDs, therefore I did not review the bonus songs on iTunes. Sorry.

1.) Meet Me on the Equinox by Death Cab for Cutie

Of course, being the lead song for the movie and with the release of the music video, this was probably the one song you all had heard before the soundtrack came out. Personally, I think this is a good overall song, so probably won’t appear in the movie other then in the credits, similar to Paramore’s Decode did for Twilight.

My fave line from the song:

A window
An opened tomb
The sun crawls
Across your bedroom
A halo
A waiting room
Your last breaths
Moving through you

Personally, I think this was quite fitting and I really enjoy the song. If you are digging on Death Cab for Cutie and want more, you can buy their latest CD The Photo Album.
