New Lead Actress, New Outtake and a Not-So-New #WFE Trailer

I wouldn’t call this a super busy day in the Rob world. It was basically just busy enough to keep us all on our toes. And I mean literally…

New Lead Actress in Cosmopolis?

Well, yes, but the real question is… who? See, here is what happened.  The original lead, Marion Cottilard, got hit by that pregnancy bug going around Hollywood. Srsly. Don’t drink the water around there. It’s an epedimic. So, magically, Keira Knightly’s named popped up on the site as being in the film. Replacing Marion? Maybe. Just about the time I started getting excited (I’ve been a Knightly fan since Bend it Like Beckham), her name magically disappeared from the site. Like it was never there…

Weird.

So, here is what we know. There will be  new lead. We aren’t really sure who it is. Maybe Keira. And the Cosmopolis site people need to learn they are being monitored hard core by the Rob fans. Cause that’s what we do.

New Outtakes!

This I know for sure. There were 2 new outtakes from the shoot that keeps on giving. Although, can I be honest? Are we in the trust tree? ::whispers:: I don’t really think they are that good. Sorry. Rob looks like he needs a good night’s sleep and a cuddle, from me of course.

Not-So-New Trailer

Then MTV tried to fool us all. They were advertising this trailer as the new international trailer for Water for Elephants. I was all jazzed, till I watched it and realized it was what was released in Finland. Which makes sense, cause um, Finland is international.

But of course, I watched it a couple times, you know, since I already had it open. So you should too. I still get the chills!

Oh, and I so downloaded the song from the trailer since it’s brill. It makes me want to cry. You should too. It’s Please Don’t Go by Barcelona. I think if this one song is any indication, I may need to buy the whole album!

Water for Elephants is BLOWING my mind!

Whoa. Screw countdowns and best ofs and all that jazz. Things just got serious with Water for Elephants. I mean, really serious.

A new trailer came out today. It’s meant for Finland, but I’m just gonna go on and assume this is the trailer for all cause it’s way better then the first. Observe.

As I said last week, I felt something was missing from the first trailer. Rob looked good, the movie visually looked stunning, the music was flawless, but it was missing some omph. Well, we finally got our omph in the form of a crazy Christoph Waltz, better segues between old and young Jacob (the fade in was legit) and a bit more of the scandalous-ness of the love affair. THIS felt more like the trailer I wanted to see to begin with. Scrap the first one and roll with this one WFE people. It’s gold!

Now, the trailer alone would have been enough. I mean it. I was satisfied. But oh. Oh no. This is WFE day apparently. Cause then the First Look from Entertainment Weekly came out and lookey what it is… more Rob. With the elephant. Eep!

I’ve never been so thankful for my EW subscription in my life!

This pic wad touched up since EW spread it over 2 pages. Thanks to Marina H. for that! It was much needed. Here is the full spread so you can see exactly why you need to grab an EW this week.

Gah, I can barely contain the excitement!

And, AND, People Magazine did their own first look, with their own picture of Rob with the elephant! You got all your money ready to buy magazines, right?

I'm srsly loving all this magazine action. WFE is clearly fo serious!

Crop it on down to the pretty...

Alright, I’m gonna go on and say it… I think promotion for this movie may be in full swing. And about 2 months earlier then I thought! SQUEE! It is nice for Rob to finally get to work with a studio that knows how to treat a movie right.

So, srsly, how freakin’ excited are you guys? Do you agree that this trailer is way better? How much do you wish you were an elephant right now?

Source for EVERYTHING you see on this post is Waterforelephantsfilm.com. I love those girls! They are doing an amazing job with this movie!

Happy #WFE Teaser Trailer Day!

Eeep! The day has come. It finally happened. We finally have a teenie tiny peek of what gorgeousness is to come very, very soon!

And, in case you missed it (to which I say, where you been!), here is the trailer…

So, I have to be honest with you all. I had this amazing plan to embarrass the HELL out of myself and do video my reaction to the trailer. I stayed off Twitter and all that, waited and then the flipping webcam wouldn’t work. After about a half hour of messing with it, I couldn’t wait anymore and just watched the thing. I tried, and I failed.

But, moving on…

My gut reaction was “SQUEEEEEE!!! It’s Rob!!!” After I calmed down a little and watched the trailer about the fifth time through, I started to feel like I had a real opinion on it. Keep in mind, I’ve read the book, so I get the general story line and all that. :)

Pros

1. The music — I love the magical feel radiating out of the trailer. It causes so many goosebumps for me.

2. The look — The costumes, the general “fee” of the cinimatography… everything about it feels right. You can tell this movie is in a totally different league then ::ahem:: other movies.

3. Rob looks hot — Duh, you knew this. He sure doesn’t talk much though, but I like that his older character is the one voicing it, since that is in tune with the book.

Cons (okay, really just one)

1. Too much love triangle — I kinda felt like they hit too much on that and less on other things. Yes, ultimately, it comes down to being a love story. But they could have thrown in something showing why Jacob was there, or may how truly nutty August was.

I’m really looking forward to the full trailer to see if they add some of these things in there. Maybe give it a bit more meat. You gotta draw in those fringe people who may not get it.

Overall, I just want to say this… I feel really good about this movie. I have a good feeling about it and how it will be received. It’s a great book, and to me, as long as they tell the story, there is no way people won’t love it. I feel like this may be the break out needed for Rob. And just knowing it’s not a Summit movie and we don’t have to deal with their antics, I feel like there is hope.

Gah, that was a very feeling paragraph.

What do you think? Book readers… is it what you imagined in your head? Better? Worse?

Just Waiting for the Trailer…

So, apparently when Hibbets said “very soon”, he meant about a week and a half. And then when I thought about it a little bit more, I realized, really, the answer was in front of us all this time. Duh. Of COURSE they’d release a trailer for an upcoming Reese Witherspoon movie in front of  the newly released Reese Witherspoon movie. It’s just like when they released the Eclipse trailer in front of Remember Me. It makes good sense. I totally failed my marketing 101 this time. My bad.

Which means…. we are all waiting for Friday. And finally, FINALLY, we will get to see Robowski come to life. ::sigh:: I kind of can’t wait.

And then I started thinking, I may have to commemorate the trailer release in some special way. I’m not sure how yet. I think it will somehow involve me embarrassing myself. But I’ll keep what I am thinking as a secret and see if it pans out. But trust. It will be embarrassing.

In the mean time, while we wait for the trailer and other tidbits of news, let’s look at some more of the pretty from the Wfe set!

Who’s excited!?!

Water for Elephants Trailer Coming… Very Soon?

I’ll admit. I got all kinds of fangirl excited earlier today. Probs cause I saw this tweet.

Oooooooooooo!

I mean, I was grinning from ear to ear excited about this. So I waited. And I waited. Then I waited some more.

Hope to be seeing you soon! ;)

That’s when I realized something about Francis Lawrence… our definitions of “very soon” are very different.

In the world of the internet, I hear very soon and I think 1 -2 hours tops. But in the real world (what’s that?), very soon is something else entirely. Especially when it comes to your work. I mean, when my boss asks me where I am on a project and I say, “I should have it done very soon” that really means “Shit! I totally forgot to work on that but I’m gonna pretend like it’s almost done and bust ass for the next few days to get it done.”

So, which one is it Mr. Lawrence? Well, I know it’s not the first one. Maybe though I am doing this whole post in vain and we’ll see it roll out today? We can only hope, cause I am ready for some Robowsky!

Yep, short and sweet today. But I am really hopeful the trailer will come out today. REALLY HOPEFUL!! And not at all realistic. :)

Am I Nervous About Eclipse? Nope. Not Too Much Anymore.

Whereas by this time I knew damn near every in and out of New Moon, Eclipse remains as elusive as ever. The movie we know nothing about (other then the entire story line) is finally starting to coming into focus. Possibly.

Thank you Oprah for this.

Compared to what in my opinion was a lack luster first trailer for Eclipse, this one delivers. I get to see action, I get to see newborns, I get to see non-Rachelle Victoria and I get too see an engagement ring that the prop department clearly got from a $.25 machine outside the local Walmart. Now, officially, I am really excited!

As with what seems to be the majority of peeps, Eclipse is my favorite book in the series. I love the action wrapped around a love story. Makes everything much more interesting. So I kind of have high expectations for this movie. And the fact that everything has been so secret was worrying me a little. I wasn’t sure if Summit learned their lesson from whoring out too much New Moon, or if there was some back room concern I didn’t know about.

Either way, this trailer right here makes me feel WAY better about everything. Now, if they would just announce the soundtrack listing, I would be a happy camper. In a tent. With just Robward.

Meh vs. SQUEE! Me & TheShagDaddy’s Review of the Eclipse Trailer

After yesterday’s teeny tiny 10 second clip, which seemed pretty much pointless since we only had to wait an additional 24 hours for the real deal, I was kind of excited. I mean, the trailer was going to be f*ckawesome, right? Cause we’ve been good little fangirls and waiting ever so patiently.

And well, here is what we got for our patience…

Being the good little blogger that I am, I decided I should get a second opinion. The best person I could think of would be, of course, TheShagDaddy! Plus, we had differing opinions. While I was rather meh about the whole thing, TSD was squeeing like a teenage tweenie. I asked him to write up a little paragraph of his thoughts for this little segment of Point/Counterpoint or as I am renaming it… Meh vs. SQUEE!

Meh…

Let me start by saying I did not hate the trailer. There were parts of that did get me excited. The scenery and the vividness of the scenes caught my eye and made me excited. And that was about it.

The dialogue they decided to overlay with the scenes came off as corny. I don’t know that I blame the movie, cause it reads that way, but it just makes it sound so lame if your a non-Twi reader seeing the trailer. Edward does look so much better then New Moon but I think I’m gonna have serious issues trying to move past Victoria, cause it is not Rachelle and I am still a bit bummed about that. Plus, hello Summit? Where were the Cullens? Or even the wolfpack?

Eclipse is my favorite book out of the series. The main reason, more then anything, is the action. And I got zero newborn vampires in the clip. That sucks.

One thing that did not bother me as much as everyone else is the Bella wig. Probably because the one scene where it is really close up, yeah, I can tell that’s right after the tent scene and trust me. If I just spent a whole night in a tent, half the night freezing and the other half sweating my metophorical balls off, yeah, I’m going to have some crazy frizz hair too.

I’m very excited about Eclipse. But the clip did not enhance the excitedness any. I’m already ready for the next clip, just to see if Summit is reading my blog and adds some fighting in there.

SQUEEEEE!

What is wrong with you people who don’t love this trailer? I mean seriously… Edward…  Bella… Jacob… Victoria… Volturi… Charlie… what else do you want? Our first glimpse at the best book in the series and I am totally sucked in. To see Bella’s face as she tries to understand Edward’s concern and to know her stomach sinks when Jacob tells her he loves her, it’s almost too much. And I thought the fight scene with the Volturi was great in New Moon, I can only imagine how fetch (Amber Note: Yes, TSD just dropped slang from Mean Girls. This is why we love him.) the scene with the newborns will be.

Basically, I love this trailer because it reminds me of the thoughts and feelings I had whilst reading the book and I actually look forward to the awkward love triangle and possible snarkiness that will ensue. On a side note though, I hope Summit doesn’t release the entire movie one clip at a time like New Moon.

Now it’s y’all’s turn? What did you think? Meh or squee!

And hey now, you know what today is right?!? Remember Me is officially in theaters!!! GO AND SEE IT! You can get your tickets from  Fandango and avoid lines at the theater!

Oh, and of course, you guys SERIOUSLY need to get the digital copy of the Remember Me Soundtrack and the Remember Me Score from Amazon! Both are really amazing. I mean, the Score has brought me to tears many times already!

I’m Kind of Lost Today… Taking a Tiny Break!

So, I go to write my post and this happens………………

I have no idea what I'm doing....

Yeah, that means nothing. Why? Cause while everyone else is gearing up for Remember Me this weekend, I’ve already seen it and while I so desperately want to talk about it in great lengths (much more so then I did yesterday), I can’t because it’ll spoil it for everyone else.

I want to talk about the 10 second Eclipse trailer, but by the time most of you read this post, the full trailer will be posted.

So, you know what? I think I’m gonna take the day off. Tomorrow I’ll write up my thoughts on the FULL trailer rather then wasting any time on the 10 second teaser. By the way, 10 seconds really does not tell us anything! Saw a lot of people making HUGE judgments on 10 seconds of film. Let’s wait till we see the whole shebang and then pick it apart!

P.S. Have you bought tickets to see Remember Me yet?  DO IT NOW!!! Oh, and get the digital copy of the Remember Me Soundtrack and the Remember Me Score from Amazon!

Can I Take A Moment And Explain A Couple Things?

Great news yesterday, not only will we get to see Rememeber Me on March 12 and see a scene like this up on the big screen:

Oh, pissy Rob. Mmmm, yes.

Um, yeah, so in addition to seeing the movie, we will also get to see the first trailer for Eclipse!! SQUEE!

Now, what surprised me the most when this little tidbit of news dropped was how unhappy some people seemed to be about this. I will say though, I totally get the reasoning.

Read that reasoning, after the jump! Continue reading

Attention, Attention… I’ve only seen New Moon ONCE!

New Moon mania is every where! I can’t even walk into a store without seeing something related to the Twilight saga, or at least reminds me of it in some way. Kind of makes me sad spice because then I come over to Twitter and see peeps have been to see New Moon 3, 4, 5 and even more times, and I’ve only seen it once.

Older woman!! I LOVE this line!! I need to see it again...

Yes, this Rob blogger has only seen New Moon ONCE!

Even funnier, I don’t have any immediate plans to get back to the theatre either, even though with every freakin’ promo I see on the TV I die a little inside. I’m starting to forget everything, all the good little zingers throughout the movie that made me smile, the pain (oh the pain) from the break up and my intense excitement (and slight turnon-edness) from Bella & Edward making up. ::sigh::

BUT… does this make me a bad fan?

I went out and supported by taking a day off work, arriving 2 hours in advance of a showing and would have been the first in line if I was not talking to the 2 Movie Guys (not on the air, OF COURSE!). I go, or I should say TheShagDaddy, goes and buys all the crap they sell, I gave a pretty good review of the movie and encouraged others to go.

I don’t know. I still need to find a way.

I need to get back in that theatre with my super jumbo popcorn and soda and see this movie again. Relive all those emotions!

But how? It’s game plan time!

1. Fake sick from work. Take kids to school then hit the theatre!

This may be the easiest one to pull off… EXCEPT I’m taking a couple days off to see Marcus next week and if I take sick time off, then I feel guilty. I know, I KNOW! I must be the only damn person that feels guilty about sticking it to the man, but I do. Probably because that place falls apart without me. Yep, I’m that awesome. So, though this is the easiest, its also the hardest. But since I’m alone, I mena completely cause it’s a weekday matinée, I can squee and laugh and cry and just enjoy my private screening!

2. Stick it to the hubs and just go one night.

For most women, this works. Why? Their husbands don’t want to go anywhere near New Moon in a theatre. And I don’t know that I really blame them. But no, not my husband. He is also in the “I’m pissed I’ve only seen New Moon once” camp, so he may not be as cool with me running out to see it. And then, even if he was okay and told me to go, then I’d feel guilty. Damn, why do I feel guilty all the time? Happened last weekend. He told me to go and I said I just couldn’t cause I knew how badly he wanted to see it. Or at least see the Remember Me trailer on the big screen again. Plus, this would be me at a weekend evening show with tweenies. ::shudders::

3. Grab my mom and get her on board!

Ohhhh… Amber is liking this option. My mom has not read the books, but went and saw Twilight in theatres with me and liked it. And even more to my surprise, actually bought the DVD the opening week. I can totally see her down for mother-daughter time at New Moon. The only bad part? I gotta reign it all in. No squeeing  during the Remember Me trailer, or slapping her when she asks if that’s the guy from Twilight. I can cry, but not nearly as much as I did. When she says she is Team Jacob (once again, hasn’t read the books), I may have to disown her right then and there, but if I am just interested in watching the movie again, it works.

Man, I am just asking you ladies for all kinds of opinions the last few days, huh? Which option should I choose? Quick, I need to get on this!!
