Water for Elephants is BLOWING my mind!

Whoa. Screw countdowns and best ofs and all that jazz. Things just got serious with Water for Elephants. I mean, really serious.

A new trailer came out today. It’s meant for Finland, but I’m just gonna go on and assume this is the trailer for all cause it’s way better then the first. Observe.

As I said last week, I felt something was missing from the first trailer. Rob looked good, the movie visually looked stunning, the music was flawless, but it was missing some omph. Well, we finally got our omph in the form of a crazy Christoph Waltz, better segues between old and young Jacob (the fade in was legit) and a bit more of the scandalous-ness of the love affair. THIS felt more like the trailer I wanted to see to begin with. Scrap the first one and roll with this one WFE people. It’s gold!

Now, the trailer alone would have been enough. I mean it. I was satisfied. But oh. Oh no. This is WFE day apparently. Cause then the First Look from Entertainment Weekly came out and lookey what it is… more Rob. With the elephant. Eep!

I’ve never been so thankful for my EW subscription in my life!

This pic wad touched up since EW spread it over 2 pages. Thanks to Marina H. for that! It was much needed. Here is the full spread so you can see exactly why you need to grab an EW this week.

And, AND, People Magazine did their own first look, with their own picture of Rob with the elephant! You got all your money ready to buy magazines, right?

Alright, I’m gonna go on and say it… I think promotion for this movie may be in full swing. And about 2 months earlier then I thought! SQUEE! It is nice for Rob to finally get to work with a studio that knows how to treat a movie right.

My Christmas Pressie to You? Lots of Good Ol’ Rob Videos!

Merry Christmas Eve!!! You know what I love most about the holidays? Other than the amazing food, family and of course, fun presents? Rob videos! And it looks like everyone had time to throw one together this week. It was actually really hard to get it down to just a few for you all.

So, while you are finishing wrapping the last present, drinking some hot chocolate or playing the role of Santa, grab your lappy and watch these vids. They’ll make doing all of those things that much better.

How could such a beautiful video make me so sad? Apparently this is Lostimortal2‘s last Rob video. Ever. I could cry. She was the first vidder I really followed. I am super sad panda. And this video? It’s so simple, yet so perfect. The song is just wow. I mean, that may be my new theme song to the Robsession. Srsly.

This video by ILAtwilight made me super happy because we got some Water for Elephants action in there! Plus, love the song and of course, love all the video. The smiles, gah, they just do me in every stinkin’ time!

WFE Just Rob

Sometimes people just seem to read my mind. In fact, I’m pretty sure ROBZSINGER1 did cause while I was looking for vids with some WFE included, she went on and made a video that included just the Rob parts of the trailer. And to that I say… WIN!

It’s Time for My Letter to Santa Again

Dear Santa,

Gah. I can’t believe I completely forgot to write you a letter sooner this year. Life’s been hectic, ya know, but it’s still two days before Christmas so I got time.

First off, I have to say, mildly disappointed that last years letter went unanswered. I mean, c’mon. I only wanted one thing. It’s okay. Maybe it’s for the best. I got plenty of other cool Twilight goodies instead.

But this year is a new year. So, all is forgiven, and I’ve been especially good so I’ll make my requests this year slightly more realistic. Slightly.

1. The FULL video of Rob’s performance from Songs from a Room. In 1080p HD blue-ray awesomeness. And can we get a commentary with that as well? Yep, cause this minute of music heaven just isn’t enough for me…

2. A plane ticket to LA for the week of April 15 (Note: I write this blog the day before I post, so at the time it was still April 15. And since it’s not confirmed that it’s moved, I’m just gonna leave it.), and you know, maybe a ticket to a little premiere that’s happening sometime around then. Water for Elephants ring a bell for you? Actually, can you make that 2 tickets? TheShagDaddy has to come along since that is our anniversary week and all that. Plus, even he wants to see this shiz. Who doesn’t? Have you seen the trailer?

3. A release date for Bel Ami. I don’t need tickets or anything else. I just need to know that the movie will be released some time in the near future in the U.S. I promise I won’t tell anyone else. You can just write it on a piece of paper, wrap it up and put it under a tree. It would be preferable if you’d write the date on the back of a still of Rob making sexy times on the set.

See Santa? I am soooo much more realistic this year. What was I thinking last year? But this year, I think I knocked it out of the park with this list.

Slim Pickings for This Video Friday

Slim pickings this week for the videos. This makes me sad. Srsly? Where are all my vid makers? I need some hotness pronto. Especially with all this new Water for Elephants footage floating around. You got some vacation time coming up where you can make those vids for me, right?

I kid, I kid… Not really.

This is soooo what I am waiting for after the debut of the teaser trailer last night… fanmade videos using those goodies!! ThatPlugInBaby cranked this one out pretty fast, and while I am not crazy about using a song associated with Twi on the video, I love the overall look and feel, and how it concentrates a little bit more on Rob!

Part 20?!? Hot damn! I think we came into this series by SweetMelodyxxx a little bit late, obvs. I think it should be my goal this weekend to sit and watch them all. For #21, I’m requesting some Robowski!

This video from TheDreamhuntress gets an A for creativity, and is probably the only Rob vid I’ve ever seen that used a Sting song. Plus, I just like remembering those days of Remember Me filming. The summer of 2009 will always have a special place in my heart!

Happy #WFE Teaser Trailer Day!

Eeep! The day has come. It finally happened. We finally have a teenie tiny peek of what gorgeousness is to come very, very soon!

And, in case you missed it (to which I say, where you been!), here is the trailer…

So, I have to be honest with you all. I had this amazing plan to embarrass the HELL out of myself and do video my reaction to the trailer. I stayed off Twitter and all that, waited and then the flipping webcam wouldn’t work. After about a half hour of messing with it, I couldn’t wait anymore and just watched the thing. I tried, and I failed.

But, moving on…

My gut reaction was “SQUEEEEEE!!! It’s Rob!!!” After I calmed down a little and watched the trailer about the fifth time through, I started to feel like I had a real opinion on it. Keep in mind, I’ve read the book, so I get the general story line and all that. :)

Pros

1. The music — I love the magical feel radiating out of the trailer. It causes so many goosebumps for me.

2. The look — The costumes, the general “fee” of the cinimatography… everything about it feels right. You can tell this movie is in a totally different league then ::ahem:: other movies.

3. Rob looks hot — Duh, you knew this. He sure doesn’t talk much though, but I like that his older character is the one voicing it, since that is in tune with the book.

Cons (okay, really just one)

1. Too much love triangle — I kinda felt like they hit too much on that and less on other things. Yes, ultimately, it comes down to being a love story. But they could have thrown in something showing why Jacob was there, or may how truly nutty August was.

I’m really looking forward to the full trailer to see if they add some of these things in there. Maybe give it a bit more meat. You gotta draw in those fringe people who may not get it.

Overall, I just want to say this… I feel really good about this movie. I have a good feeling about it and how it will be received. It’s a great book, and to me, as long as they tell the story, there is no way people won’t love it. I feel like this may be the break out needed for Rob. And just knowing it’s not a Summit movie and we don’t have to deal with their antics, I feel like there is hope.

Gah, that was a very feeling paragraph.

Just Waiting for the Trailer…

So, apparently when Hibbets said “very soon”, he meant about a week and a half. And then when I thought about it a little bit more, I realized, really, the answer was in front of us all this time. Duh. Of COURSE they’d release a trailer for an upcoming Reese Witherspoon movie in front of  the newly released Reese Witherspoon movie. It’s just like when they released the Eclipse trailer in front of Remember Me. It makes good sense. I totally failed my marketing 101 this time. My bad.

Which means…. we are all waiting for Friday. And finally, FINALLY, we will get to see Robowski come to life. ::sigh:: I kind of can’t wait.

And then I started thinking, I may have to commemorate the trailer release in some special way. I’m not sure how yet. I think it will somehow involve me embarrassing myself. But I’ll keep what I am thinking as a secret and see if it pans out. But trust. It will be embarrassing.

In the mean time, while we wait for the trailer and other tidbits of news, let’s look at some more of the pretty from the Wfe set!

I’m Looking for Water for Elephants, I Get Bel Ami… Eh, Not a Bad Trade

So, I waited. And I wished. And then I realized… the Water for Elephants trailer ain’t coming. ::sigh:: I guess Francis Lawrence has adopted the same philosophy as me when it comes to the statement “very soon.” Which stinks. My only hope at this point is he knows it’s out there so he’ll try and hurry it up.

But I will say, if I had to trade off the trailer for something else Rob-related, I think Bel Ami stills wasn’t too bad of a deal. I mean, it’s not a trailer, but at least it’s something. And a hot something at that. And something is always better than nothing!

Ooooo... dirt.

Oh book readers, we know this scene! But in fairness to those who haven’t read it, I won’t spill the beans. But the leather gloves. Damn. I did not anticipate leather gloves. I wonder if they are Isotoner. Hmmmm…

The hair and the burns are a little bit weird if I’m being totally honest. There. I said it. But you know what? For the hot sexy times and the suits and the arrogant asshole-ness we’ll see in the movie, I’ll be able to deal with the creepy hair.

And then, while this still is Robless, we do get a good look at all the ladies…

And I’ve finally come to grips with the fact that it will probably be mid-2011 before we get this movie. Which makes me ridiculously sad panda. How will we get through this? By revisiting the other stills as well…

Water for Elephants Trailer Coming… Very Soon?

I’ll admit. I got all kinds of fangirl excited earlier today. Probs cause I saw this tweet.

Oooooooooooo!

I mean, I was grinning from ear to ear excited about this. So I waited. And I waited. Then I waited some more.

Hope to be seeing you soon! ;)

That’s when I realized something about Francis Lawrence… our definitions of “very soon” are very different.

In the world of the internet, I hear very soon and I think 1 -2 hours tops. But in the real world (what’s that?), very soon is something else entirely. Especially when it comes to your work. I mean, when my boss asks me where I am on a project and I say, “I should have it done very soon” that really means “Shit! I totally forgot to work on that but I’m gonna pretend like it’s almost done and bust ass for the next few days to get it done.”

So, which one is it Mr. Lawrence? Well, I know it’s not the first one. Maybe though I am doing this whole post in vain and we’ll see it roll out today? We can only hope, cause I am ready for some Robowsky!

Yep, short and sweet today. But I am really hopeful the trailer will come out today. REALLY HOPEFUL!! And not at all realistic. :)

I’m a Liar, and I’m Okay With That.

I think I need to apologize. I totally lied to all of you. Not intentionally of course. I thought I was telling you the truth when I said that stills/set pics don’t really the end the drought for me. I mean, we aren’t really in a drought right now since we got guitar Rob over the weekend.

Um, I digress. What I want to say is THIS official still did it for me.

 

Why hello there WFE still!

 

I literally squeed outloud. Which was embarrassing since I was at work. And rare. Normally I can stay pretty well composed, but I have been dying for some Water for Elephants news. And did I expect the first still to be an 8 on a scale of 10 on the hotness level? Uh no. I thought it would be animals and Rob, which would have been adorb, but not hot.

All I know is, I am eager for the promos to begin. Surely a trailer can’t be that far way, right? And more stills. And more interviews. And more pretty, pretty pictures!

Fanmade Trailers and the Regular Rob Video Goodness… Lots to Watch for You!

This week’s videos are kind of divided up. Of course, I have the best Rob videos I could find for the week, but I also have what are pretty much the first fanmade trailers for Bel Ami and Water for Elephants. So you have lots to watch today and for the rest of the weekend! Enjoy it ladies (and gentlemen?)!

First off…. YAY FOR FAN MADE TRAILERS! Yes, that was all in caps because I really did just yell it out loud. This is sort of the best part of the in between after shooting before the trailer comes out. We get to see everyone else’s interpretation of what the movie will be. Plus, it just makes me more excited for the movies!

I had to share these first and foremost, just because not only are the good, but I’m hoping they will spur video makers on to make even more!!

Bel Ami Trailer

SweetDKvampires has put together a really good little piece here! Rob’s previous sex scenes are very limited (to one really), so the filler around it was really well done. Seriously can not wait to see what the real deal looks like, but until then, this one definitely fills the void.

Water For Elephants Trailer

And kudos to OhLogan for knocking outta the park for this one! The circus clips and using Hal, who will actually play the older version of Jacob, is just awesome.

And now… on to your regularly scheduled Rob hotness!!

Robert Pattinson – Ring my bells

This one from Tanitataniru is very much an NSFW video (Not Safe For Work, for those not hip to my jive lingo). Does it make you want to watch it even more now that I’ve said that? I mean, just after typing that I’m thinking I should watch it again. I will say, I think I saw a couple manips in there. Normally, I don’t post vids with manips, but they were so fast and hard to see that I didn’t let it ruin what is otherwise a really hot video!

This one is safe for work, if you are able to handle being completely turned on while sitting at your desk. Okay, maybe not safe if you share a cubicle or something. All I know is, after the teaser last week, I am so freakin’ stoked that Lostimortal2 finished this video! This one is, wow, it is majorly hot. Quit reading. Start watching.

Rob Pattinson • I would die for you, my love

So the song lyrics may be a bit extreme, but the quality of this vid from LuCiiJB is really nice! I love all the eyes towards the end, even the ones with the bushy brows. Plus, the effect she used it pretty cool. Very dreamlike.
